Fireworks on the Fourth of July

and cinnamon hearts on Valentine's

Ain't nothing near as hot as you

Apple cider piping out the kettle

Spiked with whiskey, woah just a little, but ain't nothing near as hot as you

Through the winter you'll be keeping me warm

We got a fire that could brave any storm

No we can't change the weather we're gonna get

So just let it

Let it snowman, let it reindeer

Meet me under the mistletoe among the Christmas lights

Let it snowman, let it reindeer

There's no way that we could be cold tonight

Look at you in your ugly sweater

I don't think this can get any better. Ain't no one near as hot as you/

Some take holidays in Mexico

Lay on the beach to get out of the snow. Still ain't nowhere near as hot as you

Through the winter you'll be keeping me warm

We got a fire that could brave any storm

No we can't change the weather we're gonna get

So just let it

Let it snowman, let it reindeer

Meet me under the mistletoe among the Christmas lights

Let it snowman, let it reindeer

There's no way that we could be cold, Cause haven't opened up a single gift and yet your presence outshines them all.

All I wished for baby was you tonight

Let it snowman, let it reindeer

Meet me under the mistletoe among the Christmas lights

Let it snowman, let it reindeer

There's no way that we could be cold tonight

There's no way we'll ever be cold

There's no way that we could be cold tonight

The Hayse House is a bed and breakfast in Muskogee, some garland in prep for the holidays and I added the lights for a Slide.

The tree is trimmed, the halls are decked, the stockings are hung, and the gifts are all wrapped. Now all that's left is the hot cocoa with toppings!

Oh, and Happy First Day of Winter!

When decking the halls, one should take time out for a little indulgence. For example - a handful of decadent cookies and hot cocoa with ALL the trimmings!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly...

'Tis the season to be jolly...

Don we now our gay apparel...

Troll the ancient Yuletide carol...

See the blazing Yule before us...

Strike the harp and join the chorus...

Follow me in merry measure...

While I tell of Yuletide treasure...

Fast away the old year passes...

Hail the new, ye lads and lasses...

Sing we joyous all together...

Heedless of the wind and weather...

Happy Holidays!!

With Christmas just around the corner it's getting to be crunch time. Time to get those last gifts - and wrap them. Time to get those Christmas cards in the mail. And yes, time to deck the halls.

Brigette is arranging Christmas decorations.

We visited a place called “A Day in the Country” yesterday, for lunch and shopping on a bus trip. The rooms were decorated so beautifully that I took quite a few photos. I’m using one of those photos as a background for this prompt.

To my Flickr friends who celebrate Christmas, may this one be "merry and bright" and to those who don't -- and for all of us, actually -- Peace on Earth.

A little bit better but not much. Will just have to wait until tomorrow to take pictures in natural sunlight to get rid of the icky yellow cast and hot spots.

The countdown begins: 12 days til Christmas!!!

I tried something a little different today. I have sooo many out takes to upload as well, which is exciting to me ;). But I really enjoyed this kind of portrait editing. So it was a nice change <3

Day 321 of 365

Week 44, Assignment 2 for Take A Class With Dave and Dave.

Deck the Halls. Make an image of a homemade Christmas Decoration Cliché. Don’t use a store bought one, someone else may own the copyright! I’ll name the most cliché, but don’t feel that rules it out – Holly! What else can you show us that people generally associate with Xmas decorations?

What is more cliché when it comes to Christmas Decorations than the lights. Sure, they themselves aren't homemade, but what you do with them is.

I had a lot of fun taking these shots, but I have to say that the lights themselves get pretty damn hot......painfully so, but I am really liking the shots I got so it was worth the pain. I think I'm going to have some fun with these lights over the next month or so.

Normally I wouldn't have started with the lights until at least after Thanksgiving, but Dave chose the assignment for this week so out they came.

Why is it that no matter how carefully you put them away that when you pull them out a year later they are always a tangled mess?

I took a bunch for this assignment which can be seen here:
