"How Blockchain Helps Decentralized Identity
Currently, there is a presumption that knowledge of information is identity. If a person knows a social security number or password, they are presumed to be the person who that information represents. And if a person knows your personal information, they can impersonate you.
Using blockchain technology to decentralize identity is about digital validation and keys. For example, a digital wallet with cryptographic keys that cannot be recreated. You must have physical access to a device to validate identity. With a decentralized identity system, a remote hacker might have access to pieces of personal information but being able to prove an actual identity would require physical possession of that person’s device. Decentralized identity is literally putting the power back in the hands of the people."

Trieste, a deep-water port, is a maritime gateway for northern Italy, Germany, Austria and Central Europe. It is considered the end point of the maritime Silk Road, with its connections to the Suez Canal and Turkey. Since the 1960s, Trieste has emerged as a prominent research location in Europe because of its many international organisations and institutions. The city lies at the intersection of Latin, Slavic and Germanic cultures, where Central Europe meets the Mediterranean Sea, and is home to diverse ethnic groups and religious communities.
Trieste has the highest percentage of researchers in Europe in relation to population. Città della Barcolana ("City of the Barcolana"), Città della bora ("City of the bora"), Città del vento ("City of Wind"), "Vienna by the sea" and "City of Coffee" are epithets used to describe Trieste.

Dash Core Group CEO Ryan Taylor, the leader of the Dash decentralized autonomous organization's largest development contractor, took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to provide some much anticipated updates. In a series of tweets, he informed the community that the next iteration of Dash's software will be hitting testnet imminently.
Version 0.16 of Dash's core software will include many enhancements, and will feature the new block reward allocation that has been discussed at length in the Dash community and approved in a recent governance vote. Mr. Taylor indicated that the product brief will be updated early next week, and there was only a few odds and ends to clear up before we will see a testnet release...
