Hide isn't up yet, this was through the tinted glass of the kitchen window. All sorts coming into the feeders so looking forward to getting the garden up and running for wildlife.
There is a tray of peanuts fastened to the tree just below the stump, the odd pose is as the bird works his way down to the goodies.

Back in time again for another experiment in Mono....
It's Mid Afternoon on Monday 11th December 2017. The previous day we'd had an usually heavy snow fall - so simply had to go out walking with the camera. Looking through my older images thought it would look better using this medium.
I'd very much welcome your opinion too. Thanks.
Guess there's no denying that winter has finally taken hold in Northeast Ohio. Brrrrr...

17th December 2017:
I walked down to the Christmas Market in town this morning, the sun was out and it didn't feel cold ... for once.
Not much going on for those who have a chalet yet, but it's still early.
Walked back up the main road to home and found this in one of the gardens near us. What on earth does she think she's doing, it's Winter.

. . . This Snowy Owl was literally floating across one of the frozen lagoons at the Muskegon Wastewater Treatment Plant today! It continued on like this for a good 100 yards without flapping a wing once!
Have a fantastic Christmas weekend Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!
Again experimenting with 'Untried Aspects' of my editing software.
Took this further coloured image Mid Afternoon on 10.12.2017 near my home in Betws yn Rhos N. Wales.
The sky was overcast and the light was fading rapidly too. As it came out predominantly black and white, I thought I would fully convert it to 'Monochrome too, but this time add a coloured complementary 'Elliptical Border'. This was the result.
Again, I'd very much welcome your views and feedback please. Thanks.
Season's Greetings to all who celebrate and Happy Holidays too!
Thank you for taking the time to comment, award and/or critique my work, I truly appreciate each and every one!
Thank you and I hope you enjoy your day :-
28th December 2017:
Although I actually got out this morning in some lovely sunshine, albeit freezing cold. I knew what I was going to take for today.
Our two new mugs. They were my Christmas present to Graham.
Many years ago we'd bought two mugs in Southern Brittany while on holiday, but sadly his broke. I've been on the look out for two nice mugs to replace his with and finally found the ones I liked.
I shall slowly add to the collection as the supermarket had some other really nice ones in too.

I'm not typically a fan of this kind or tree shot, but somehow I found this one to be interesting.

Well I gave it a go and I had to buy some cheap candles too.
This isn't a type of photography I've tried before, so it was a lot of experimenting as well as getting a photo for today's theme. Fun trying though.
This morning, before the birds had woken up, I took my props out into the garden. Set everything up and then turned the outside light off.
This was the best of about two rolls of film!
The Father Christmas is one of our Christmas cake decorations and is about 2cm in height.
Maybe better viewed large but thank you for your favourites. :O)
