This was one of the most colorful and scenic views of our entire trip. One never knows what to expect from this great state of Utah. Just when you think that you have seen it all, you drive into Dead Horse Point State Park and find this magnificant view. The weather on this particular day was perfect. We were blessed with excellent light to photograph this beautiful spot.
Dead Horse Point State Park is a state park of Utah, USA, featuring a dramatic overlook of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. The park is so named because of its use as a natural corral by cowboys in the 19th century. The "dead horse" part of the name is that the corral was abandoned, but the horses did not leave the corral, even after the gate was left open, and died there. The park covers 5,362 acres of high desert at an altitude of 5,900 feet

These were on sale at the local CVS. If nobody waters them, they die. That’s the kind of COVID Christmas 2020 has been. One photo a day. (360/366) Bayside, Queens, NYC — December 25, 2020
There is a wide variety of trees at the National trust property at Trelissick, this old dead tree was one and begged to be turned into a monochrome image.
This dead foul land of howling sounds
from trees and wolves all around
a sun so deep in warmth bringing life
to the dead who live below

We stopped on our way to Wilperna Pound and I saw this wallaby skull on the ground. I thought that it exemplified the Dead Heart, which is a euphemism for Central Australia. I've also just updated my blog if you'd like a bit of a read.
A few mushrooms growing on a dead tree. This is a reminder - This tree might be dead but not gone.

When the memories fade and are dead and buried, leave them for the crows
No life, no plants, grass, trees,,,only cormorants. The island is dead because of their stools,,,,,quite hard poison.
Only black cormorants on the branches.

Dead inside!
Revere a million prayers
And draw me into your holiness
But there's nothing there
Light only shines from those who share
Unleash a million drones
And confine me then erase me babe
Do you have no soul
It's like it died long ago
Your lips feel warm to the touch
You can bring me back to life
On the outside you're ablaze and alive
But you're dead inside!
You're free to touch the sky
Whilst I am crushed and pulverised
Because you need control
Now I'm the one who's letting go
You like to give an inch
Whilst I am giving infinity
But now I've got nothing left
You have no cares and I'm bereft
Your skin feels warm to caress
I see magic in your eyes
On the outside you're ablaze and alive
But you're dead inside!
Feel me now
Hold me please
I need you to see who I am
Open up to me
Stop hiding from me
It's hurting babe
Only you can stop the pain
Don't leave me out in the cold
Don't leave me out to die
I gave you everything
I can't give you anymore
Now I've become just like you
My lips feel warm to the touch
My words seem so alive
My skin is warm to caress
I'll control and hypnotise
You've taught me to lie
Without a trace
And to kill with no remorse
On the outside I'm the greatest guy
Now I'm dead inside!

A warming sunrise at Dead Bod Jetty in Hull. These Riverside sheds are soon to make way for a new quayside industrial wind farm development. They take their name from an infamous shipping landmark painted on the river side of the shed of an upside down dead bird with the words Dead Bod underneath. Thought to have been painted in the 1960's by a local captain and chief engineer and has been used since as a navigation marker.
I wrote a blog on Hull's popular photography locations. Please check it out, it may be useful! www.neilnicklinphotography.co.uk/blog/2015/5/photography-...
