Davidoff

Together with the Europa-Center in Berlin, which opened in 1965, the Kö-Center, built between 1965 and 1967, is one of the early larger inner-city shopping centers in Germany. Opened on 15 August 1967 the complex comprises a high-rise building set back from the surrounding streets with doctors' practices and offices on the upper floors and several lower buildings in pavilion style.

Final McLaren F1 GTR Up For Sale

A classic piece of motorsport and supercar history up for grabs in Japan

Last-ever F1 GTR sports classic Gulf colours

Last-ever F1 GTR sports classic Gulf coloursThe last-ever McLaren F1 to roll off the Woking production line has turned up for sale in Japan. The car, one of the ‘long-tail’ McLaren GTR race cars, was built in 1997 and run by Gulf Team Davidoff in the oh-so-classic orange and blue colours.

The long-tail Mclaren F1 GTRs were built to meet technical regulation changes for the 1997 Le Mans race and the FIA GT championship, and featured a sequential gearbox as well as the more obvious aerodynamic enhancements

A total of 100 F1s were built, of which just 28 were race cars. This car, chassis number 028R, was originally designated 027R, but was damaged by McLaren during shakedown. It was then rebuilt and became Gulf Team Davidoff’s spare car, but was raced during the second half of the 1997 season.

PH’s Japanese isn’t all that hot, but we’re pretty sure that the Japanese website listing the car doesn’t show a price tag. Still, if this isn’t a case of POA, then we’re not sure what would be.

It’s a fair bet, though, that this piece of motorsport history is going to cost its new owner a solid seven-figure sum.

#OnlyInHK—“Torino Lamborghini cigarettes” #wtf #crazyisgood

Branded as the L6 and L8, the Lamborghini cigarettes designate their product lines with respect to the amount of nicotine in each cigarette. Hong Kong cigarette packaging is very informational. You know exactly how much nicotine and tar you are consuming. Unlike in the US where cigarettes’ nicotine content is a complete guessing game, at a glance you know on the packaging that the L8 contains 8mg tar and 0.8mg nicotine. The Davidoff which I smoke usually contains 10mg tar and 0.9mg nicotine. Knowing this also makes buying Nicorettes easier.

How does it taste? Pretty good. I don’t really think that I will be changing brands any time soon. But I do still miss my additive-free cigarettes in New York: American Spirit and Nat Sherman’s, which I cannot find in Hong Kong at all. International travel is no longer an option either as cigarette allowance is 19 count (1 box of 20 minus 1) which is why the trash bin before custom is a cemetery for that single cigarette disposal. It is stupid really. Hong Kong Gov should just create a cigarette recycling bin I think…

A nova campanha publicitária de Cool Water by Davidoff.

Agora com o espirito revitalizado, com uma campanha estrelada por astros de peso tais como Evageline Lilly e eterna Kade e Josh Holloway o eterno James Sawer, ambos do mundial e monumentalmente famoso seriado LOST.

Yeah.

I know.

Some folks'll say "cigars stink," and it's unfortunate indeed that some do. Typically, it's the inferior quality products that have a loathsome effluvium. And yet, I've never thought cigarettes ever smelled good. The thing about cigars is that they're not subjected to the same mistreatment which cigarettes are.

Cigars are made from a particular variety, or species, of tobaccos (Criollo, Corojo, Turkish - some which are described according to their growth & preparation, yet the genus is Nicotiana) grown in a unique area, and rolled from an entire leaf (or blend of leaves) of the tobacco plant. The "wrapper" - the external cover of the cigar - is made with the very highest quality tobacco leaf, which can range in color from very dark to very light, and frequently accounts for a majority of the cigar's unique characteristic, aroma & flavor. Cigar tobacco may come from throughout the world, and typically, the highest quality cigar tobacco is grown in Connecticut, Honduras, Spain, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Cameroon, and Cuba.

Cigarettes are a ground-up mish-mash hegemony of burley tobacco grown from all over the United States, and there is no uniqueness to them whatsoever.

And, unlike cigarettes, cigar smoke is NOT inhaled. One merely puffs upon a cigar, to enjoy the aroma and flavor, which can range in complexity from the various flavor & aromatic characteristics:

Sweet: Cocoa, Chocolate, Vanilla, Caramel, Honey, Cream

Woody: Tree Bark, Cedar, Oak, Rotting wood

Nutty: Almond, Hazelnut

Mild Spices: Ginger, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Liquorice, Cloves, Salt

Strong Spices: Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Cayenne

Earthy: Leather, Tobacco, Coffee, Toast

Fruity: Citrus, Raisins

Herbal: Floral, Peat, Moss, Grass, Hay, Mint, Menthol

Tobacco obtains its unique aroma in large part because of the minerals in the soil, which it absorbs in copious quantities while growing.

Cigars are also characterized by their length and width, which is termed "gauge," and is measured in 64th's of an inch. So, a 747, or 7x47 would be a 7 inch, 47 ring gauge (47/64 of an inch). They range in size from the "Rothschild" which is 4 inches, to the Gran Corona which is 9 inches. Generally speaking, the longer the cigar, the cooler the smoke temperature.

There is an art to Cigar rolling, which craft has historically been passed down from generation to generation by father to son, and while there are women who also roll cigars, very few (if any) high quality cigars are rolled by machine. It take a highly skilled human touch to create a fine cigar. Cigars also come in various shapes, such as

• Torpedo (tapered at the mouth tip only),

• Pyramid (pyramid & tapered at the mouth tip),

• Perfecto (pointed at both ends and broad in the middle),

• Parejo (uniform shape & bluntly shaped at the mouth tip),

• Figurado (irregularly shaped cigars, such as three intertwined, or as an egg shape), and

• Presidente (similar to parejo, but with a closed "foot," which is the burning end, and a tapered mouth tip).

Again, standing in stark contrast are cigarettes, which are mass produced by machines, and wrapped in paper.

Throughout you'll experience varying layers of black pepper, dark coffee, sweetness, leather, wood and spiciness.

The Comedy Cellar is a comedy club, where many top New York comedians perform. It was founded in 1982 by then standup comedian, and current television writer/producer Bill Grundfest. It is located in the heart of Greenwich Village between West 3rd Street and Minetta Lane.

The Comedy Cellar, like The Comedy Store, uses a showcase format, as opposed to a headline format like most clubs. A show will consist of between five and seven comics performing sets of roughly 20 minutes each.

Regular performers there include Colin Quinn, Opie and Anthony co-host Jim Norton, Mitch Fatel, SNL star Darrell Hammond, Dave Attell, Louis C.K., Nick DiPaolo, Rich Vos, and radio host Marc Maron. Also, some rising stars in comedy frequently perform, including Dov Davidoff, Robert Kelly, Sherrod Small, Keith Robinson, Gregg Rogell, and Ben Bailey.

Each week consists of two shows a night on Sunday through Thursday, three shows each Friday, and four shows on Saturday. The Cellar is located under and connected to the Olive Tree Cafe, where many of the comedians hang out after performing.

The New York Post regularly rates the Cellar as the best comedy club in New York. Musician John Mayer can also be seen dabbling in stand-up here occasionally.

Much of Jerry Seinfeld's 2002 documentary Comedian was filmed at the club, and it also can be seen in a 2006 Pepsi commercial starring former SNL and current Tonight Show star Jimmy Fallon.
