My camera will not do his work justice. Fantastic and engaging - I think he has a show coming up at the Mitchell-Innes & Nash Gallery in March or April...

close up - I read that he collected and used pieces of found paper - calendars, children's doodles, etc - and placed them behind his drawings (that look like ink on tracing paper). I think all of the work I saw also had phrases typed at the bottom of the tracing paper (quirky, irreverent, insightful phrases). My favorite of the whole fair.

Key: Paintings that are ambiguous, have a lot going on in them yet light enough to levitate and go straight to heaven. And I imagined Godbold doodling over his paintings when it rains which is all the time.
