The mother is thinking: " - She was such a naughty child complete opposite to the old brothers... "- I love her because she's my daughter, but she hasn't changed... " - I'm old and without patience... "

I am my mother's savage daughter
The one who runs barefoot
Cursing sharp stones
I am my mother's savage daughter
I will not cut my hair
I will not lower my voice... ♫
Another sneak peek of a part of my new project, which will hopefully be open next week(end). I can't wait to share it with you! 💗
Her skin is the color of the darkest chocolate, rich and deep against the winter landscape. Icy frost traces delicate filigree around her eyes—brilliant blue, startling as a cloudless winter sky, framed by patterns that look painted by Jack Frost himself.
Snow-white hair cascades in careful braids on one side, each plait woven with precision, while the other side flows free, catching wind like silk ribbons in a storm. The asymmetry is deliberate, a balance between order and wildness.
Small, fluffy clouds drift around her body as if she commands the very atmosphere, as if the sky itself has descended to orbit her presence. They move with her breath, these pocket storms, hovering close like devoted companions.
She is neither entirely of winter nor entirely separate from it—something in between, something that exists in the liminal space where beauty and cold weather meet. Where warmth and frost find unexpected harmony.
Some say she was born from the first snowfall that touched volcanic earth. Others claim she simply is, without origin or explanation.
Both might be true.

Hail Core was on top of me on that first storm to the north of the City... I deiced to bail & go pick up my daughter, as she had called & said I want to go...I scooped her up & proceeded south of the city about 20 miles between Minden & Axtell Nebraska!
The 2nd supcell of the day was coming at us from Dawson County. @ That time that would be direcly to our west northwest. This storm was a fast mover. The first storm of the afternoon was only moving at 14 mph... So we didn't have much time to take snaps.
Though I did take a lot of snaps ...but I made a rookie play & didn't reset this focus from manual. I can be a knucklehead sometimes with I'm in the thick of things....
These were the final images of that afternoon. The ones in focus... We arrived just minutes ahead of its approach. Just in time to get these phenomenal captures right underneath the base of this monster!!!

A couple of months ago, we decided to take Lucky and Lara out to the mountain. As I was driving in a very remote area I saw a little dog walking on her own in the middle of the road. She seemed very tired! I stopped the car and I called her to come to me. She came and it was like she knew me for ever. I gave her water to drink and I was not going to leave her there no matter what! We took her home and after contacting the police (just in case somebody had reported her missing) and a check up in the vet's, we decided that the little dog was about to become the latest member of our family. We named her Tina.
Days went by and Tina was very happy with us. In no time she got on with Lucky & Lara and everything was just fine.
The thing is though Tina had a little secret that we found out on April the 2nd... She gave birth to two beautiful little puppies. The one is a male and the other a female.
Tina and the puppies are doing very well! They get all our love and attention and no matter what we will make sure that the puppies will have the best life possible even if that means that they will have to stay with us!
In this photograph is Tina with her daughter and it was taken on April the 4th.
My son didn't have school today (snow day) and we didn't have a sitter, so I stayed home. Then my daughter started getting sick and running a fever. This is about the only time she'll hold still long enough to get a picture.

Kind of scary when you take pics of your Kids and see them as a child yet in the picture you can see them as much older sometimes-how do you stop them growing up :-) :-)

This will probably be my only upload before Christmas (been crazy busy lately with little flickr time),so have a very good Christmas all.

For an art-project at school my daughter got this huge "model", its standing in the living room (for how long..........;-))
Anyway, she got downstairs this morning, and she is her usual grumpy self, I was taking pics of the doll, and she hugged it!
Quite like the compo, lol!
When Atlas was punished to bear the heavens on his shoulders, his seven daughters with Pleione - Asterope, Electra, Merope, Maia, Celaeno, Taygeta, and Alcyone – started to be pursued by the hunter Orion, who had fell in love with them and their mother. In pity of their suffering, Zeus first turned them into doves and then into stars, to protect them from the Orion’s advances who, it is said, still pursues them across the sky.
Known from, at least, the Bronze Age, the Pleiades star cluster an hallmark and leitmotiv for mythologies across several civilizations and they were/are also known as Soraya (old Persia) or Subaru (Japan).
The Pleiades is an open cluster with about 1,000 stars at about 440 light years but only the brightest are visible at naked eye, even in light polluted skies; but in a dark sky and viewed through binoculars it is a truly amazing sight. They will be gravitationally bound for another 250 million and by then it will disperse in Orion’s constellation.

These are more of the salvaged photos from our former house in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. They were also some of the 76 photos that were featured in the June 3-30 showing at the Jefferson Cutter Gallery in Arlington, Massachusetts.. The bookcase and bureau are furniture that I paid a gentleman to put together. I had him put another of that bureau for my daughter for her bedroom. I also crocheted the covers for the tops of both of them.

I often use my daughter to 'vet' my images and this was her reaction! However, for some reason, I like it; in fact I would say it is one of my favourite woodland images to date. I spotted this bracken covered slope as we were heading out of the Glen and knew it would make a great backdrop to a decent subject. I just hope I have chosen wisely....

A daughter is beauty at its finest.
Heart of an angel, soul so pure, and sweet.
Daughters are one of God's most precious gifts that he has bestowed upon the world.
Angels in Heaven do not compare to thine beauty, and grace my ever so beautiful, and lovely daughter.
Seeing you at birth brought more joy to me
than all the money in the world could ever do.
You are morning, bright, and shining,
you are noon, you reside at the highest point in my heart,
you are the dew kissed night.
You are my daughter, heart, and soul
