All of the rocks have been removed from Level 8, including Feature 7. No more work is going to be done in the money units, as we shift our attention to the north. One of the rocks left in this photo turned out to be a really nice mano (hand-held grinding stone).

Action photo. The unit in the foreground is 30 cm lower than the one being started. If you look in the background, you can see that 20 cm of modern gravel overburned was stripped from the area prior to starting the excavations.
This is the profile view of the feature, which appear to be flat, or at least no obvious pit or basin shape.
Lunch usually involves sitting on a bucket, since we only have a couple chairs. Except our field director, who is lying on some of the trenching backdirt at the right of the photo.
