The 2003 Ben Affleck movie "Daredevil" was set in New York but was shot, for the most part, in Los Angeles. The fight scene between Daredevil (Ben Affleck) and Bullseye (Colin Farrell) takes place in Downtown L.A. on Wilshire Blvd.

Power House Pin-up from TERRIFIC No.18

from Scott May's Daredevil Stunt Show Keynsham RFC August 2009.

By 9 pm, I had put away the flashes and was working with high ISO and whatever natural light was available. The stunt worked as designed so, though this looks bad, the outcome was planned. The stunt? One man running into a burning barrier and breaking it with his head.

"The French existentialist, Albert Camus compared hope to the painted screen that executioners once held in front of the faces of prisoners to hide their view of the scaffold as they climbed the stairs. Instead of black crows hunched on the gallows pole, prisoners saw lively swallows darting over Italian hills arrayed with vineyards and poplar trees. If hope is this delusion, I have no use for it. But I believe hope is not a gallows screen. Hope is what keeps us climbing the stairs toward gallows we know full well awaits us, which is what we nobly do and what has become our art, our beauty, our cause for celebration.

"To carry on, to continue, to make or find what gentle beauty we can before our lives end --this is the thing with feathers..."

-Wild Comfort, Kathleen Dean Moore

my neice is dancing the robot

while stifling giggles behind a smile

which breaks in puffs and belches of laughter

in the backyard, everyone is a lantern

glowing in the light of the sunset

even the pinata, shaped like a star,

beaten, torn and discarded

is alive again in golden light

ice cream melts down little fists

cheering the dance, they too will do

as the grown ups stomp their feet

and clap there hands, keeping time

"Alright Matt can you here me"? I here Luke say through the ear mic.

"Loud and clear Cage, whats the rundown?"

"You're gonna be busy tonight(I here him say)18 guards total."

"Tell me where they all are"

"Sure, 2 at each of the 4 doors, 1 at each corner of the upper balcony, and the rest are guarding the shipment".

"Of what"? I say

"Military grade M-16s,the same thing these punks are armed with, piece of cake"

"Luke be honest, for you this would be a challenge you're just jealous."

"Jealous of what, the fact i don't need to dress up with a skin tight 80's track suit to clean the dirt and grime of the streets."

"Oh I'm sorry Luke that i couldn't SEE what my costume looked like".

"Don't play that....... hey just shut it and get back to the mission"

"Get back to the mission, I've already take out all 4 balcony guards and advancing on the shipment as we speak".

"What ever you say spandex"

"First the West end,Now the docks, Kingpins territory is really rising'.

"Yeah, this is why we gotta keep these thugs off the streets, more of em out their, the more the news spreads that Kingpins hiring.
