My oldest son very rarely indulges me by posing for a photo, but he looked so dapper Saturday evening I gave him no choice! He dresses up nicely, doesn't he?
The Sherwood Forest Faire is a small but very fun Renaissance Festival in McDade, TX, about 40 miles SE of Austin. It's in a nice setting and a lot of people from the Texas Renaissance Festival attend, so it's nice familiar faces and also shoot with new ones. If you are in the area, check it out - it is a blast! I took these photos in February 2014.
The 15th of October is Dapper Hat Day! It's my favourite holiday-that-I-made-up of all!
The gist of it is you wear a hat and go for ice-cream with your chums. It's GREAT.

Playing with image orientation and how that makes poses feel. I look kinda like a ninja with gravity shifted like this.
