Hand held camera and long exposure (about 15 sec) while dancers were dancing in the dark and a single flash was operated multiple times on them.

While I've loved the Edinburgh Fringe for as long as I've lived in the city, you might think that one's enthusiasm might diminish gradually with familiarity.
Actually, I'm finding quite the reverse. In recent years, I've been enjoying the Fringe more than ever, taking more photographs than ever before (and many of them are now "official" pics for shows).
One other trend in recent years has been that a large number of groups from South Korea tend to appear here. They have been a sheer delight to meet and to photograph.
This is a shot from a show called 'Puppet', performed by 'Dae-Gu City Modern Dance Company' I met them on the Royal Mile and they were kind enough to invite me to photograph their show. It was the first time I had ever tried to photograph dance, and I've never had to work so hard with a camera. However, I thrive on a challenge...and think I got some pretty decent results. :-)

I had a photoshoot with Chloe and it was amazing. It was my first time trying out dance photography and never knew that it could be this fun. Will definitely shoot more soon!
India - Kalbeliya Dance Rajasthan.
Kalbeliya is one of the most sensuous dance forms of Rajasthan, performed by a tribe of the same name. They are famous for their dance which is an integral part of their culture.
One of the dances is the Baewei dance.
The musicians belong to the Rangi Rang Sindhi Sufi group; they are muslims.
It's diffuicult to take your eyes off this. Every part of him is dancing. You can't imagine the movement isn't going to continue. Marvellous.
A trio of dancers during the finale of the El Tannoura Show at the Wekalet El Ghouri Art Center in Cairo, Egypt. While commonly referred to as the "Whirling Dervish" show, the performance includes musicians, a muezzin singing religious songs, and the dancers. The Tannoura dance is similar to the dances done by Sufi "whirling dervishes" but is indigenous to Egypt and is not rooted in the Sufi tradition.
Another friend, from Sikinos. A stray cat who visited us every morning, dancing her fluffy goodmorning. She liked my camera, of course. She thought it was an edible one, I guess.
