He dances...like no one is watching.

Each step a quiet defiance, each sway a testament to the life he has claimed for his own.

Petals whirl around him, crimson in a storm of freedom, as if nature itself has blessed this reckless abandon, this joyful rebellion.

The world might watch, or it might not, but he does not care—his spirit is unchained, his heart unfettered.

For in this moment, he has shed the weight of expectations, the quiet crush of silent eyes and whispered judgments.

In this dance, he finds himself—a fierce, raw truth that no one else can touch.

And as his limbs carve freedom into the air, he becomes more than a man; he is passion, he is life, he is the courage to live boldly, beautifully, as only he can.

This is his dance, and it belongs to no one else.

'To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful'.

- Agnes De Mille

My 4 year old had her second dance show yesterday. Too cute for words. I have always loved this quote so much, good words to live by! And I think, for now, she does. She was in her own little world when she was dancing! : )

Hope you all are doing well. See ya!

Day 1....2...3!

I just got photoshop cs4, finally so happy with it. I was experimenting with masks and etc I think I did a good job.

Its got a nice dreamy look to it.

Now how's this for a coincidence?? I've been meaning to shoot these signs on Queen West for awhile. So tonight, I took my shot and then crossed the street to find this gentleman dancing outside of the store here! How fabulous is that? If only to have had him actually dancing between the signs but that's what Photoshop is for! ;)

It's the Little Things 2.0 #188

I know you all want to join in .... so what are you waiting for ..... turn up the speakers.....get your ass off the chair and JUST DO IT! Dance like no one is watching!!!

Many many thanks to my co-workers at the clinic that I ran into when I was on my scavenger hunt for themes for the Disposed project sponsored again by Taylor Gallery Studios in Kingston Ontario. Five Themes - five hours - five shots of each theme. This one incase you didn't guess was Alphabet. I saw them at Taste of Kingston and they of course yelled where is your camera....I held up the little disposable camera and said "this is it". Then I thought...hmmm four of them.....alphabet....Y M C A :) so I asked...would they do the Y M C A on the steps of City Hall for me? Of course! and so voila! here is one of my Alphabet shots for the theme of Alphabet.

For those of you in the Limestone City to see the rest (along with 22 other photographers work) you will have to head to Taylor Studio Gallery on Clarence and King till the end of the month. I will be posting more of my shots later after the show closes :)

Valentines day before the blood and pain (long story).

I must say that I feel terribly for the people of New England with the wicked amount of snow they have received lately. It will not deter me from taking advantage of a 70f in Denver to enjoy our local parks. We decided to scout some locations for an upcoming photoshoot and had some fun in these pavilions.

Which is pretty much what I had to say to myself considering my neighbors were outside and were talking and I could hear and feel them watching me in the background. That's something I'm going to have to get used to.

This dress is my new favorite clothing item. It was my belated birthday present and I completely adore it. Betsey Johnson ftw! :D

My legs aren't that dark, fyi. I couldn't really edit them to look natural so I just decided to make it seem like I was wearing dark stockings.

And that flare? Yeah, it's natural.

...o rascada, la verdad no puedo distinguir...

This is what happens when I need a break from cleaning the house.... break out the iPod and bust a move.. or a knee.. which ever comes first.

Inspired by the Sick Little Monkey earlier this week. I think he's a better dancer then I am!
