I caught this Smallie in the Talbot River. I had to release it because it was out of season. Season doesn't open until the 3rd Saturday in June.

I caught a total of 4 Rainbow Trout today on Opening Trout Season! I kept these 2 which are going to be on tonight's dinner menu and released 2 more that I caught to grow bigger.

Had the unique experience of eating sushi at Sushi Daiwa in Tsukiji Fish market in Tokyo. The market is going to be relocated by the end of the year and such experiences are going to become so much more difficult to experience. We waited in the line for about 90 minutes to get this hand rolled sushi, it was totally worth it.

Nice 4-5 pound Smallmouth Bass I caught on my first day at the cottage. Had to let it go after the photo because Bass is not yet in Season.
Small Northern Pike caught in the Trent Canal ,before releasing back into the water.

I caught this lovely 15 inch, 1 - 1.5 lb. female Brook Trout at 5:35am this morning! My 2nd fish was smaller around 12 inches ,caught at 7am this morning.

I went back trout fishing again, this morning and caught these 2 Brook Trout before 8:30 am. The big one measured in at just over 15 inches long and over a pound or so. My personal record for a Brook Trout!
Imagine fishing for mackerel then the seal decide to catch your fish !Another fishing story ........it was THAT size !!Only mackerel were injured in the making of this .......The seal ate my catch..............

The shrine is dedicated to the main deity, Princess Ugatama, a Shinto kami (spiritual divinity), commonly known as Inari. She is the benevolent goddess of rice. Since the main economic base of this region is rice cultivation, Inari is the prevailing deity of wealth, culture and is the protector of this area. In Japan, nearly one third of all Shinto shrines are dedicated to Inari and Fushimi Inari is the cultural seat of power for all Inari shrines.

Rōmon, Fushimi Inari, Fushimi, Kyoto, Japan
Rōmon, which literaly translates to tower gate, is a popular two-story gate used in Japanese temples and shrines as the main entrance. Even though it was originally developed from ancient Buddhist architecture, it is now incorporated into Shinto shrines as well. The Rōmon gate at Fushimi Inari was constructed in 1589 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He was a powerful daimyo, a farm of feudal war lord. It was his gift to the temple when he prayed for his mother’s recovery from her illness.
