this skirt is vintage deadstock with the original tags which were all faded. i love finding things with their original tags--they're like a little bit of history--and have a hard time snipping them off sometimes. it's also that midi length that gals of yore wore with such grace and style.
slouchy leather satchel is my go-to, trusty bag of choice. i have my life in here and tote it almost everyday, everywhere--and it shows.

I believe in a wardrobe consisting mostly of classic pieces, regardless of current trends and fashions, which should be only added in limited amount of "smaller pieces" , such as a top or an accessory.
I started building slowly, carefully and patiently my "woman's wardrobe" since exactly 10 years now.
I'm really pleased with the result and feel happy, that I no longer need to
donate bags of clothes once or twice a year, in an effort to keep only what
I trully like and need, freeing my wardrobe ( and myself) form temporary pieces.
The feeling, that there are clothes in the closet, bought 10 years ago and which I could have exactly the same chosen again today, is quite satisfying and gives an essence of continuity.

Any journey or a trip becomes half hearted, listless and boring if it does not include shopping in it.
Rajasthan is famous for its bold primal colors that both the men as well as the women don in their dailywear. It is a function of the arid colorless and hot desert area that makes these colors a necessity in human existence in such extreme climates.
In Rajasthan, Pali is the most famous for its dyeing practices thanks mainly to the water which has excellent bonding properties for the dyes. We were in Pali for a wedding of a friend/colleague and as marriages are wont to be in India, they are long extended affairs, from which you can go missing at times and go shopping in the busy lanes and bylanes of Rajasthan
So shopping it was that we sneakedout for and on the busy main streets I took this shot of the man in a bright pink turban. This is a black and white shot but you can see teh color in the other picture.
