It's done!
Today's the first day of my "Daily Names", inspired by Gayle Etcheverry's "Daily Paintings". I choose someone's name or a nickname and write it in Arabic.

I made this for my sister, it says "Red Lee" in Arabic. I'm not sure if she's alright with me explaining about the name, let me just tell you it's a nickname she used online. ;)
She's asleep right now (Shh!), and I've been on this for three hours. So when she wakes up, I hope it will be a pleasant surprise. =)
Waahid means One in Arabic.

India is full of temples, shrines, churches, gurudwaras - some without very distinct markers mesh within the neighborhood that is difficult to tell they are even there.
The building in the middle is a gurdwara, a sikh's place of worship.

Find a scene that's dominated by one color and make a photograph of it. Use light and shadow to accentuate detail.
I did not really know what to do here and ended up with this angry couch.

Daily shoot for 2011/04/09 • Illustrate time in a photograph today. So, I tried to illustrate "time" , not timekeeping, time measuring, or a specific time. So I photographed something that took a very long time to create. I don't know that it really communicates the idea of time, but it is a pretty object.
