I live near this area, so that's why I have a lot of views of this area because I think it's nice to walk anytime and pretty, well from my point of view.😎😉
The Miami River is a river in the United States state of Florida that drains out of the Everglades and runs through the city of Miami, including Downtown. The 5.5-mile (8.9 km) That is, it is not very big, but it is full of interesting areas to see and walk, the river flows from the terminus of the Miami Canal at Miami International Airport to Biscayne Bay. It was originally a natural river inhabited at its mouth by the Tequesta Indians, but it was dredged and is now polluted throughout its route through Miami-Dade County. The mouth of the river is home to the Port of Miami and many other businesses whose pressure to maintain it has helped to improve the river's condition.

This is the same male Northern Flicker (Colaptes auratus) that I posted two days ago. Here he seems to be looking for invertebrate at the top of a dried out sable palm. The male and female were both nearby but the female was the most shy of the pair and did not make herself available for photos.

Just a little guy, these get a nice big claw and will cross the road in a mass migration during breeding season. They have been known to cause flat tires. As adults they are a blue/purple color, but I liked this guy against the water.

Aventura is a planned, suburban city located in northeastern Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The city name is from the Spanish word for "adventure", and was named "Aventura" after one of the developers of the original group of condominiums in the area remarked to the others, "What an adventure this is going to be." The name predates the well known mall (Aventura Mall) built near the condominium developments. According to the U.S. Census estimates of 2010, the city had a population of 35,762. Aventura is located 18 miles north of the city of Miami.
Aventura began its development during the early 1970s. The area was initially referred to as Turnberry. Aventura became an incorporated city in 1995. The Aventura Police Department was formed in 1997.
Aventura is home to the luxury resort Turnberry Isle, where the yacht Monkey Business was docked during the Gary Hart/Donna Rice incident, which contributed to Hart ending his 1988 bid for presidency.
The Aventura Mall, the fifth-largest shopping mall in the US, is also located here.

Sunshine State Arch is a national historic site located at the intersection between NW. 13th Ave. and NW. 167th St. at the entrance to the Sunshine State Industrial Park, in Miami Gardens in Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA. It was inspired by the monumental Gateway Arch in St. Louis. The Sunshine State was finished in 1964, three years before the Gateway Arch. It was designed by Walter C. Harry.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
