The Central Library demolition just about finished. On my walk around the city November 13, 2014 Christchurch New Zealand.
A pair of teal feeding in the stubble of recently cleared reeds in front of the Inner Marsh Farm hide at Burton Mere Wetlands. The male on the right is in eclipse but still has a flash of blue-green under his wing. Like this he's far less likely to catch the eye of a passing peregrine and there has been a lot of them over IMF this year.

Baby Duck Syndrome denotes the tendency for computer users to "imprint" on the first system they learn, then judge other systems by their similarity to that first system. The result is that "users generally prefer systems similar to those they learned on and dislike unfamiliar systems." It is most commonly seen in a person moving from a Windows operating system to a free Unix-like operating system, especially Linux and BSD.It is also common, but less prominent, amongst Macintosh users.-- source wikipedia

Great pub in a lovely village. Good resturant and a drinkers bar. I had Adnams Broadside and 'Worth the Wait', when we visited.
