I have seen more of these Drone Flies so far this season than I have seen in previous years.
Back after I pick up the kids from school, for the last time this year, six weeks of Summer holidays start now!

Dave flew his drone and captured some images from the west side of the Lighthouse which is incased in ice. This is from the side the waves hit the most. That's allot of ice already but Friday we are to reach up to 45* and if we get some sun this ice will be falling off.
Drone show at Han river in Seoul. Never saw one of those before. Interesting but probably better for video than photography.

Carn Aosda in early morning mist from the Glenshee carpark on the A93.
The A93 is a major road in Scotland and the highest public road in the United Kingdom running from Perth to Braemar.
CLNA 119 crosses Runyon Creek in Washington, NC, with a pair of CLNAs' relatively new GP15 locomotives painted to represent the heritage of the Original Norfolk Southern. This railroad once ran on current-day CLNA tracks.
I wish you and everyone out there a healthy and happy new year. This was my first real drone shot. I have been struggling with restricted zones where I live of areas that I feel compelled to photograph. I caught this one on an early morning. I hope you enjoy it.

This is a new version of one of the many images I have of the Drone Shows on Sydney Harbour, Sydney Cove and Darling Harbour during the Vivid Light Festivals of 2023 and 2024.
Photographed from beside the south-eastern pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Along the Cahill Walkway. Next to the Cahill Expressway. No tripod - the camera was resting on the side of the harbour bridge, lol.

As much as I try to avoid using my drone whenever possible, there are some times when I'm just too intrigued as to what it would look like. I didn't expect the view of the Battle River Valley, looking northeast, to be half as pretty as this - but I couldn't help but feel amazed looking at the drone controller. A westbound grain train led by a newly rebuilt AC44C6M set the stage, as they rolled across the expanse. Although the trestle looks smaller from the sky, the true size of it is amplified when you can see the whole train in one image. I try not to fall in love with drone images too often, as I think they're kind of cheating… but I couldn't think of a better photo to end the trip with.
