The first driving video/animation I did. Some of you might have seen this on Vimeo or Youtube, but thought it was about time it was here too, just to piss off the maximum amount of people.
The music for this one is also by my brother, and Adam. Together they don't quite make Bill and Ted, but they do make Deaf To Van Gogh's Ear.
Germany at last! Fascinating to see how everything changed as we drove past the city..industry, factories..and the most interesting of all..... the long interplay of black poles, wires, arches and structures that made up the railway complex at its centre. I only had time to whizz a few lines in as a memory but would have LOVED to have drawn this part properly
Most of the time
I'm clear focused all around
Most of the time
I can keep both feet on the ground
I can follow the path
I can read the signs
Stay right with it

Driving naked with a loose cat in the car while taking photos, what could possibly go wrong? I was wearing sandals.
Poor driving, but I suppose we've all done it at one time or another.

Well here is a picture of me driving my car barefoot since it got too warm inside of my car, my feet got too warm in Hanes no show white socks, and my Nike Cortez sneakers.
When snow started to come down on the 9th there were already cars and trucks on the side of the road. Some do not seem to know (or want) to slow down when driving. This tow truck blocked traffic in three lanes trying to get a car out of the shoulder. Impatient drivers in the oncoming traffic almost spun out when they tried to turn lanes following going to the one lane.
The view of Tipsoo Lake and Mount Rainier from Washington State Route 410. I don't know how people stay on the road when they turn the corner and see this.

For Throwback Thursday. This picture of my son in his sister's car was taken on a Saturday morning in September, 2010. My son was 10 years old at the time. He is wearing a uniform for a karate class that was near this place. My husband says that he took this picture. Now my son is 18 and has his own car.
Me driving home to Trier. It looks like a highway in the USA. I guess...haha

Driving to Southampton
Long shadows
this bright November morning.
Sun
picking out gold pieces
hanging
among leaves it ‘s burned
to earth colours:
burnt sienna, ochre,
sombre terra verte.
The feathered silver birches
and fanned corals of the oaks
defined in raw umber
by a draughtsman's pen.
A line of poplars.
Spare skeletons
wearing the tatters of summer's green
on gaunt graceful arms
raised to the duck-egg sky.
A cloud.
Slow-drifting,
turns back its dragon head,
responding to the spiral winds
that play in the high blue spaces
where it formed,
reforms,
changes and transmutes
as, earthbound,
I drive down the motorway.

Interior shot of the Mini showing the dashboard and the details in the Mini. It is a cool little driving place. Taken in the garage with all the doors OPEN surprisingly!

that leads to deep thoughts. I've been driving a lot lately, and it's where I do some of my best thinking...not that I remember to write anything down.
