I'm back from a long hiatus. I had to take a break.
Slowly catching up on things but feeling very excited to start blogging again now that things calmed down for me.

A dream consist this late in the game on Canadian National as far as MLW power goes. Here an extra east is just west of London, Ontario with HR616 2110 leading an M420 - and yes it sounded spectacular ! !

My attempt at the "Looking Close... on Friday" theme "Multicoloured Necklace".
Shot with a Optical "Projectar 150-160 mm F 1.9" (projection) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
The "City of dreaming spires" reference to Oxford and its university comes originally from an 1866 poem of Matthew Arnold.

For Dolores O'Riordan, singer of The Cranberries, who passed away today. I loved this song from the very first time that I've heard it. She was like a fresh and renewed Sinéad O'Connor, less aggressive but with a sweet strong voice. Such a sad loss.
Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado
A lucid dream is a type of dream wherein you realize that you are actually dreaming, while still immersed in sleep. Title is from the lovely ambient piece by

Great Sand Dunes NP is a truly remarkable place. At sunset, with the wind blowing, a storm in the distance, and all alone on the dunes, it seems very much like a lucid dream. You know you are there, but time and presence of mind are blurred. A truly wonderful experience, if done right.
My son Daniel is in the distance. You can get a sense of how immense the dunes are from his relative size here. And it's just sand built up over time, eroded away and then rebuilt again through the action of wind and water. Amazing.

Sunset at Oceanside beach. I love the transition from the close round rocks and the sand flow out to the Three Arches offshore that make such a nice subject to frame a photo with. It's also nice that the sky went nuclear :D
Single Shot, 1 Trick: I have the closest sand developed with a warmer color temp and then blended between the sky to the sand for a nice transition - this made the sand look more natural - the red in the sky reflecting on the sand didn't look right to me.....
