In a town known for it's tall ships and painted houses, I thought I would capture some of the beautiful painted doors that can all be found within a few square blocks. Lunenburg, Nova Scotia is one of the most beautiful towns on Canada's East coast.

Yesterday, the driver's side electric window on the Fiesta stopped working. Just a whir from the motor, but the glass was stuck up. So, I stripped out the door trim and liner panel to take a look. Turned out to be a broken plastic gear on the motor, so I had stripped out (and had to refit) more than I needed to :-(

The elegant buildings on St John Street survived the arrival of industry during the 19th century.

The only reason St John Street survived, with its classical Georgian terraces of three storey houses, was that it became a street of doctors and professionals with consulting rooms and offices rather than reception rooms and parlours.
