I dont know what this bird is carrying in its bill but I expect I have eaten it in a French restaurant at some point in the past !
In the foreground: the morgue of the Hospice du Grand-Saint-Bernard.
This ossuary built in 1476, shelters the corpses mummified by the cold, lost dead in the pass, victims of the mountain and whose bodies have not been claimed. Object of morbid curiosity, it was walled up around 1950.

Cet ossuaire construit en 1476, abrite les cadavres momifiés par le froid, des égarés morts dans le col, victimes de la montagne et dont les corps n'ont pas été réclamés. Objet de curiosité morbide, elle a été murée vers 1950.

Au cœur même de la ville se trouve le lac Kandy (ou lac Bogambara), qui attire de nombreux promeneurs. Kandy est célèbre pour ses sites bouddhistes sacrés, dont le temple de la Dent (Sri Dalada Maligawa), honoré chaque année par la grande procession d'Esala Perahera. ―
