took this while diving in the red sea last year - just jumped in and some shouted so i went down 3 meters to sea this pod of dolphins swim by OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I live by the ocean and frequently swim in the ocean. On occasion, while swimming, I encounter a few or even a pod of dolphins. I always swim with a GoPro and make videos of my encounters. Usually I dub the soundtrack with music but in this video I didn't. The sound you hear is the chatter dolphins make to one another. I also encounter and make videos of other sea life such as eels, manta rays, eagle rays, and sharks.

This is a close up of one of the dolphins at Xel Ha in Mexico. They come up out of the water like this for food after each performance.

Dolphins near Gibraltar

Bottlenose dolphins, the genus Tursiops, are the most common and well-known members of the family Delphinidae, the family of oceanic dolphin. Recent molecular studies show the genus contains two species, the common bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) and the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops aduncus), instead of one. Research in 2011 revealed a third species, the Burrunan dolphin (Tursiops australis). Bottlenose dolphins inhabit warm and temperate seas worldwide.

Bottlenose dolphins live in groups typically of 10–30 members, called pods, but group size varies from single individuals up to more than 1,000. Their diets consist mainly of forage fish. Dolphins often work as a team to harvest fish schools, but they also hunt individually. Dolphins search for prey primarily using echolocation, which is similar to sonar. They emit clicking sounds and listen for the return echos to determine the location and shape of nearby items, including potential prey. Bottlenose dolphins also use sound for communication, including squeaks and whistles emitted from the blowhole and sounds emitted through body language, such as leaping from the water and slapping their tails on the water surface.

I was elated to capture a leaping dolphin! The sun was getting closer to the horizon.

Leading the pilot boat out to a ship. Taken on the Houston Ship Channel. They ran with us at 15 knots for about 3-4 miles. At first they'd stay under for a long time before breeching to breathe, but towards the end they were coming up and down regularly. Heavy breathing dolphin style.

Bottle nosed dolphin at SeaWorld GC

A Pacific Bottlenose dolphin, cousin to the atlantic bottlenose, struts his stuff in the San Pedro Channel, Southern Califonria. "He" was swimming along side the boat just below the surface then suddenly bolted out of the water. Lucky grab, indeed, but I'll take it.
