"There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills." ~ Buddha

Insects maybe ants but could be roaches. See the droppings. A possible explanation is I may have had food on my hands when I was making the scales.
Walking out of Zubiri on the third day, I came upon an abandoned chicken farm. I spent about an hour shooting and exploring here. A really fascinating place and one that I wish I'd had a little more time to shot in. I'd chance upon interesting locations throughout the Camino but because they were chance encounters, I never quite felt that I got the best out of them given that I was always aware that I had a limited time in which to explore and respond. Guess its just another reason to go again.

Taken for an Icelandic theme-club. The theme was disintegration.
Þetta snýst nú allt um túlkun. Mér finnst orðið "vanræksla" passa betur við þessa mynd en niðurníðsla en vanræksla má svo aftur heita einhverskonar "óhlutstæð/andleg niðurníðsla".
I bought these Reeboks a couple of years ago from a friend. These photos don't do them justice. While the soles badly need work, the uppers are quite nice. The woven fabric is rotting and torn in numerous places. The angle of the photos misses some of the tears.
These must have been someone's work shoes, as they have bits of paint and plaster stuck to them.
They are US men's 7, my "real" size, somewhat larger than I usually wear.

My rapidly disintegrating trainers on the ferry home. Set this as your desktop background, it's great :)
These photos were taken during the anti-G8 protests in Germany, 2007. A wide variety of leftist protestors converged in Rostock to highlight issues of global inequality as the leaders of the world's most powerful industrial nations gathered to conspire against the rest of the world. As germany still has a strong nazi movement, faces have been pixellated to protect the identities of those involved.

Now I have till august to make some new artwork with my little dirty angel...
