I saw this mural on a Toronto street which quite intrigued me as there seemed to be no purpose (that I could conjure up!) Perhaps it's the meaning of life personified and I'm missing the point.

Another cold yet sunny day facing north in a biting wind. Even the gulls flew into shot giving an added dimension

No mirrors were used [or harmed] in the capturing of this photograph.

"There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space, and timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition." - Rod Sterling

This was a very slow moving train, making for an easy chase.

Lots more to come...

Victor Vasarely is truly a genius, having captured this image on canvas with brush and paint in a wonderfully nuanced and harmonious way, without the use of today's high-resolution printing technology.

The painting hung high up in the stairwell of the Würth Museum, and I could only photograph it with a telephoto lens.

Here on my computer screen (press L), the image appears completely three-dimensional, with the blue areas curved concave and convex, and the red areas receding into the background. He swapped blue and black and red and black diagonally.

Dreidimensional

A dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You are moving into a land of both shadow and substance. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.

A life in each painting.

An artistic Andorian escaping her homeworld's militaristic culture, hopped a freighter to Earth. There she took to skateboards like duck to water. She loves zooming around cool places but you might also find her creating increasingly complex three-dimensional art.

She once commented to an interviewer that if you're not falling, you're doing something wrong because everyone falls when they are experimenting, doing something new and pushing boundaries. She is known for her famous quote: "Falling is a great excuse to get up and skate again"

I often get off at this local train station. That day was a little different: the sun was very low and shone directly at me. As I got off, the moss immediately jumped out at me as a three-dimensional structure. Until now, I had always perceived it as flat green stripes on the ground. That day, it had a body, rising up out of the stones and taking its place in the world. The shot was simple: as low as possible with slight lens flares. The interesting thing is the triangle between the locomotive in the upper left corner, the moss-defying small plant in the lower right corner, and the all-outshining sun. Enjoy!

Sprague Lake, a man-made lake that soulfully mirrors the Flattop mountains and Hallet peak, is well known for beautiful sunrises on clear days. But on our morning, heavy fog curtailed visibility in the area almost to a naught. Shivering in the wet coldness of the air, Rishabh and I were disappointed at our luckless-ness, especially after waking up at 4AM our biological time.

However, disappointments can be windows to subtle realizations, if only we let the present moment infiltrate our lungs like a mountain gale. Turns out, the fog of that morning was a curtain to another dimension where our unmet expectations, tied hopelessly with their reflections in melancholic brooks, remain confiscated.
