We ate dim sum with T's aunt and uncle. Unlike in the US, they didn't roll around carts with food. Instead, you are given various order sheets with the items written only in Chinese and you check off the ones you want. It would have been impossible to order if you didn't know Chinese since you couldn't fall back on the traditional way of getting dim sum, which is randomly pointing at things that look good.
As a result, Denes and I were the only white folks there. In the more central areas of Hong Kong there are enough tourists and ex-pats that everything is translated in English. Out in the suburbs, the population is almost exclusively Chinese.
