A different perspective on one of the most famous lakes in Canada, Peyto Lake.
The outlet waters from this iconic lake form the Mistaya river, creating a beautiful chasm on it's way to the North Saskatchewan River. A few pics of the river in comments.
The last Friday of the year is here. 2016 sure whizzed bye fast.....
It's been a good season for river cruisers - and some are still flying. Georgia river cruiser is the subspecies of Swift/Illinois river cruiser (see shot below). Markings on the two are quite different. Both are flying in my area out of Little River to our south, and the larger Etowah River just north of us.

Have a great Friday!
The famous "Mirador del Rio" viewpoint is located at an altitude of 475 meters above sea level against a rock on the northern tip of the island of Lanzarote.
In the past this point served as an lookout post for the Spanish army and an artillery-garrison post was built next to it. Some ruins of the buildings are still visible.
During the day it is always extremely busy with tourists, but when you return late at night you are all alone with nature and you can hear the roar of surf far below.
The setting sun colors the rocks and the plateau in the most different and beautiful brown tones and from the far south fog banks enter the island.
A heavenly feeling..........

Windsor, Ontario has a wonderful riverfront view of Detroit, Michigan. The two cities share the Detroit River, which serves as the international border between Canada and the United States. Two of my favourite subjects to photograph along the river are the Detroit skyline, and this old water pumping station on the Windsor side of the river. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, this old structure is an example architecturally of a much different time, compared to the buildings along Detroit’s riverfront.
Sunset at Cave Run Lake in Kentucky!! Part of the Lord's Prayer "Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven." I often think on this as I have a decision to make... Anyways thanks for dropping by and God Bless!!!
I have posted images of this building before (Vancouver House), but not from this perspective. It's such an unusual building that it seems I could shoot it many times and it would look different every time depending on where I was standing.
I often post my architectural images in black and white, but this one seemed to look better in colour.

for sure it is good to focus on what you want ... but it can be very helpful to take a playful look on the world from a different perspective. 😉

This photo was taken during a trip to visit our relatives in a small village, Mikołajki. I was lucky to be a passenger this time and the moment I saw these trees I grabbed the camera and took a quick shot. I wish I had time to stop and compose it in different way but I only had a chance for this shot. I had to crop a little but it's not so much cropped and I also did some postprocessing, which I guess is quite visible. ;-)
Have a good day friends and visitors. Thanks in advance for all your faves and (possibly comments).
Please remember (visitors) the photo is copyright.

This is similar to an earlier post, with a closer view from the side and a lemon instead of an orange. I hope you all like it.
Thank you so much for your support on my photos. It means a lot and i will always try to be a good contact.

Different view of the same "Helvella crispa" or in Dutch "Witte kluifzwam". I see a face that is smiling and wishing us all a happy weekend! ;-))
Life can be challenging and sometimes it challenges you to think afresh about your life, your path, your choices, and how you fit in the world. What do we seriously value? What do we choose to hold our attention and become our focus?
I certainly do not claim to have been everywhere there is to go, or having done everything there is to do. People, as far as I can tell, are people. Cultural details aside, such as language and cuisine, we all are far more similar than different. We have the same needs and desires. Yet most of us focus on the differences and allow them to be used as leverage to build ignorance, fear, hatred, and violence.
I avoid most of the news because it is not uplifting, but I do not live in a bubble, insulated and isolated from reality. It is easy sometimes to ignore the world at large and forget for a while just how horrible people can be to others. I listen to a classic song from 48 years ago and realize that no matter how much I want things to change, they don't necessarily get better. Not by themselves. I have to do something. We have to do something, to make things better.
Instead of focusing on faults and failures, we should focus on our common goals and dreams, learning from and supporting one another. Who are we to pass judgment and condemn anyone?

I’ve been looking for street scenes without people recently... I took this in our neighbourhood.. which we really like!
It has everything you need... public transport, a huge park, the centre of town... all just round the corner!
And the area has not... yet?.. been ‘gentrified’ so there’s a great mixture of people. We’ve lived her for a very long time!
My newest assignment was to go to Naturally Naughty Studios and create three boudoir photographs. All of them are to be different backgrounds or stages and different hair, clothing, makeup, etc.
I submit to you Part Three of the assignment.
Check out Part One here.
You can catch Part Two of the assignment here.
Thanks again to my Flickr Sensei for taking the time to give me tips and lessons to improve my Second Life photography skills.
Going back to a time where NS Dash 8 locomotives still roamed and the Lafayette District was a hopping place....as now the NS is a shell of what it once was when it comes to motive power. Dash 8s, SD60/I/Ms, SD80MACs, SD70Ms, and more all have been purged from the roster. Near Tolono, the 146 is being overrun by a severe thunderstorm as it creeps to the diamond to meet Amtrak. You can't tell from the picture, but the cell had some rotation from the clouds above.
When routine bites hard and ambitions are low
And resentment rides high but emotions won't grow
And we're changing our ways, taking different roads
Love, love will tear us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again
Why is the bedroom so cold turned away on your side?
Is my timing that flawed, our respect run so dry?
Yet there's still this appeal that we've kept through our lives
Love, love will tear us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again
Do you cry out in your sleep, all my failings exposed?
Get a taste in my mouth as desperation takes hold
Is it something so good just can't function no more?
But love, love will tear us apart again
Love, love will tear us apart again
