De laatste 10-20 jaren van de vorige eeuw is de Scheveningse haven langzaam verandert van vissershaven naar jachthaven
Alleen in de eerste haven zijn nog vissersschepen maar de logger is totaal verdwenen , De Hollandse nieuwe komt uit het buitenland.vooral van Noorse, Deense, Zweedse en Schotse haringloggers.

Den Haag Stationshal van Den Haag Centraal
Onlangs is de piano op slot gedaan door een overijverige medewerker van de Spoorwegen. De dienstberichten konden niet goed beluisterd worden aldus de dienstklopper.
Ik ga er vanuit dat de Spoorwegen goed heeft nagedacht alvorens de piano te plaatsen met het verzoek aan ieder die het wil om de piano te komen bespelen . De piano staat er al weken en regelmatig durf er iemand plaats te nemen op de kruk om een muziekstuk door de hal te laten klinken.
Dit is de eerste keer dat een NS medewerker de piano afsluit om dergelijke redenen.
Had vast niet goed geslapen of hij moest overwerken.

Bike taxi and buildings in Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle.
The bike taxi looked so unreal (and giant-banana-like) that the title 'Alice in Wonderland' popped up in my head the moment I've snapped this shot.
Sometimes I am still amazed by my own puddle pictures and it fills me with joy&happiness to be able to create such confusing, pretty photos with my mobile phone cam (hope I don't sound too arrogant) :))
As always, no Photoshop, no tricks, just some saturation&contrast added to make the colors pop out a bit more!
The sun is shining, it's Sunday, make the best of it!

Manufactured by Liberty puzzles, 14.75"x14.00"
This is my second wooden puzzle, also from my best fd as birthday gift. I opened this box on my birthday and started yesterday. Finished it in 18 hours.. I mean straight 18 hours. It was actually my first time to stay up and do puzzles all night long until this morning at 9.. needed to leave my fd's house the next day.

This painting is full of details and very flowery settings. It was harder than I thought. 505 wooden piece is a challenge due to puzzle shapes and irregular edges. (I finished my edges until the last piece). I was doing this in hurry thus didn't realize how amazing this painting really looks like until I finished it.
There were about 50 Whimsy pieces, very interesting and nice cutting. I will take a picture of back if I manage to flip that over.

In the last weeks hundreds of Amsterdammers have broken their bones because city hall for some obscure reason refuses to do anything about the ice&snow covering the streets in the best city in the world, what a weird situation! The local news station AT5 has chosen to distract us from this really lousy way of handling the Winter by sending mixed signals, they make fun of the situation and claim that nobody got hurt, while in the national news they mention the manymany people that broke their bones...I don't get it, what are they trying to tell us?! :))

At the beginning of the Helsinki University of Technology semester 2009-2010 someone had decorated the Computer Science Building lobby with lemmings! Excellent!

Henk Krol rol begon zijn carrière bij de VPRO-radio. Via de TROS werd hij in 1977 voorlichter van de Tweede Kamerfractie van de VVD.
Als grap richtte hij in december 1979 de Gay Krant op. In 1982 schreef hij als eerste Nederlandse journalist over aids. Hij was tevens medeproducent van diverse kunstprojecten en (mede)auteur van onder meer Rick's Report, Hoe vertel ik het mijn ouders? en Uit de Kast. Nadat hij er zelf mee werd geconfronteerd, werkte hij ook mee aan twee boeken over kanker: Buigen als Bamboe en Bekend met Kanker.Krol verzorgde de PR rond de openstelling van het burgerlijk huwelijk voor homo- en lesbienneparen. Hij verkreeg hiermee internationale bekendheid. Het initiatief voor de openstelling werd genomen door de jurist Jan Wolter Wabeke.[1]In 2009 ontving Krol de eerste Jos Brink-prijs vanwege zijn fundamentele bijdrage aan de bevordering van de sociale acceptatie van homoseksuelen in Nederland.
In maart 2011 was Krol kandidaat voor 50Plus bij de verkiezingen voor de provinciale Staten in Noord-Brabant en werd als statenlid gekozen. Verder stond hij op de 5e plaats op de kandidatenlijst van die partij voor de Eerste Kamerverkiezingen twee maanden later. Op 4 juni 2012 werd bekend dat Krol als lijsttrekker de ouderenpartij 50PLUS ging ondersteunen tijdens de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen 2012. Het campagnelied was een bewerking van Peter (als Henkie) gezongen door het nu 50+koor van Sweet Sixteen.Toen Krol zitting nam in de Tweede Kamer heeft hij zijn Statenlidmaatschap opgezegd. Zijn maidenspeech hield hij op 20 september tijdens het debat over de verkiezingsuitslag.
