Close up shot of the nose of the China Cargo 747-400ERF. China Cargo Airlines was originally called China Eastern Cargo but when it became an independent subsidiary of China Eastern it was renamed to its current appellation as a joint venture between China Eastern Airlines and China Ocean Shipping. The operation is based in Shanghai and is a DFW regular.
The American Airlines Admirals Club: a great way to kill time at DFW. For the work-obsessed, there's even a cube farm with Aeron chairs.

Last week was Spring Break here. So Peanut and I went on several mini adventures all week. We did a spotaneous stop at the DFW Airport Founder's Plaza. A wonderful place in which you can sit and watch the comings and goings of flights. Plus, you can listen to the communications between the pilots and towers. Very cool.
Three flights in the day of N918AE. This EMB145 boarded at DFW at 2:30p and flew to Gulfport, Mississippi GPT as flt. 3383 at 3p. Pax RandiMichelle H. flew in seat 5A. It did a turn and came back to DFW,from GPT landing a little after 6:30. N918AE then became AA Flt. 2781. The capt. for this flight is flying the last 8 days of his career. Boarding for Grand Rapids GRR started at 7:05p CST. Door: 7:25p; Push 7:31 from Gate B-13 and wheels up from RW 18L was 7:42p. Flight time to GRR was a little under 2 hrs with crystal clear skies until just west of Chicagoland, flying at FL 370 E. Gonzales was F/A. Flight 2781 was very very quiet, My light in 5A did not work so I watched towns and cities pass by below. I brought on board a yogurt smoothie with berries and granola.
a banana and cheddar cheese crackers ; Service was OJ. An early arrival on 26L in 20 some degree temps with a lot of snow on the ground. Landing was at 10:40p EST and taxi home. This little RJ will sleep tonight at GRR and leave tomorrow for either DFW or ORD, I know not which. There you have: three flights in the day of N918AE, a fine little airplane.
Whew what a mess after DFW Jingle Mingle. The firm that provided valet parking couldn't keep track of the keys... so all on the ground as attendees on hands and knees searched for the keys.

A Hackerspace or Makerspace oftentimes act as a co-op community workshop that operates so that members could have access to devices and workforce to finish their own personal project which would have been difficult by themselves because of either absence of tools, workforce, or know-how. One element of our hackerspace / makerspace that we would like to highlight both in awareness and in activity is that we are a nonprofit body in DFW.Visit our site www.dfwmakersclub.org/ for more information on Hackerspace
