Last night, right as the sun was starting to drop, the rain cleared up and a rainbow appeared over the homes across the way. So I took Devo out while I took some photos.

The post-punk band Devo performed in Des Moines on Saturday night. The concert was supposed to have been at the amphitheater on the riverfront, but it was flooded so the show was moved to a temporary stage set up on the Walnut Street bridge.
We didn't have plans to go to the concert, but when we got home we could actually here the music from our house so decided it'd be fun to run downtown and check it out. Even though we didn't buy tickets we got fairly close to the show for free. We got there in time to catch the last few songs including "Beautiful World" which, if I were to have a favorite Devo song that's probably it.
I can actually remember when Devo performed on Saturday Night Live for the first time back in 1978 and am not ashamed to admit that, as a 14-year old Iowa boy, I didn't quite get it.
