Quick stop off at Walton-On-The-Naze when was in Essex last week. Tide was right in and light was a bit dull, so resorted to some LE of the sea defences. Somewhere to explore another time though
There can't be alot of people alive who recognise Dinorwic slate quarry as an historic landmark. But it has actually been put forward for UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Anyone who has climbed up into it knows why. But you can read about it here whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/5678/ Until it gets worldwide recognition it's small army of wild Welsh mountain goats are its only defenders.(Well, not including me and some others. I'm not sure about them, but I might be an old goat too ...)
Hummingbirds are very territorial. When a hummer spots a food source they will dive right in to stake their claim. However, if an intruder comes along they are more than prepared to defend what they define as their territory. They will attack not only their own kind, but bees, butterflies, and sphinx moths as well. especially the males. In this image you can see a Purple-throated Mountaingem (Lampornis calolaemus) defending its territory at the highlands of Costa Rica
Wolves are attacking Mitgardia! Wyndor and his men defend one of the food storehouses near Treaclehiem.

Robins are one of the first birds to start the dawn chorus and one of the last to stop singing at night, even in the winter when they sing to defend their winter territories. But winter is not a burden for all wildlife. As the grey and cool violet undertones of a morning sky unveil, a lone member of the dawn chorus can often be heard greeting in the day. In the season when gardens are virtually silent, the morning anthem of the robin is a joyful contrast to the hush of the night. With their large eyes, robins see well in low light and even when the day is fading and the bitter chill of night takes hold, you can still hear the lively melody of a robin rising above the tumult of human noise. In fact, the robin’s merry vocals are usually the first to greet the dawn and the last to salute the sunset.
Yet another mediocre build yey
The roof‘s wack, just didn’t want to buy more parts for it

When it came to special operations for the Triple Canopy operator teams, the designers of the Defender model certainly did they're homework. The M350 comes complete with AC, a radio not just mean for communication, V8, M2 Browning, smoke launchers, and enhanced lighting systems
In short its every operat0rs dream pick up, I'm quite proud of it, I'd also like to introduce the Triple Canopy operators, a big thank you to TheRedneck for his handy work on the breacher head :D

Dover Castle is a medieval castle in Dover, Kent. It was founded in the 11th century and has been described as the "Key to England" due to its defensive significance throughout history. It is the largest castle in England.
So there's a knight, a queen and a naked guy in the upper right corner. Have no idea what this window represents.
The Defenders is an American courtroom drama series which ran on CBS from 1961–1965. It starred E.G. Marshall and Robert Reed as a father-and-son legal team who specialized in defending hopeless cases. It was created by television writer Reginald Rose. It was a slight reworking of his 1957 two-part drama, The Defender, from the anthology series Studio One. In the original program, Ralph Bellamy played the father and William Shatner played his son. [1] Shatner guest-starred as a prosecutor in the later series, and the original drama later was incorporated into an episode of his series, Boston Legal. Original music for the series was scored by Frank Lewin and Leonard Rosenman.
A re-envisioned version of the series (which many called a sequel) debuted on the Showtime (which is now owned by CBS) network in 1997. Still called The Defenders, it focused on Beau Bridges and Martha Plimpton as the grandchildren of E.G. Marshall's character. They worked as lawyers and carried on the family legacy. However, Marshall died after completion of the Second episode ("Choice Of Evils"). Production was halted and the remaining canned episode, "Taking the First", aired as a movie special in 1998.
This fabulously maintained long wheel base Land Rover Defender was one of several that were in regular use at Dwejra Bay on the Maltese island of Gozo. Best of all the keys were left in the ignition when I had a peek inside.
The moon was deep the few light rays that came through shine in my face when I stuck my head in the sky, for this small but intense moment I could forget that there were enemies in the area, I closed my eyes and stiffened mine satain hand-tailored kimono off the shoulder and put a hand to my sword before the first attacker ventured out of his hiding place behind the tree, with a short sideways movement my sword went through his halftone artery like butter. a fire bomb ignited the tree .... half of the attackers were defeated and the others began to flee, maybe this time it would be a lesson to dare to my princess, my eyes were cold and I follow the last traces of the blood on my sword dripping to the ground, the moon had disappeared in the meantime and the cold rain cooled off my scarred body ......

We don't have a great war in our generation, or a great depression, but we do, we have a great war of the spirit. We have a great revolution against the culture. The great depression is our lives. We have a spiritual depression.

Sedentary, the Hare does not defend territory. It is mainly nocturnal but also diurnal (in summer, morning and evening). Feeds early in the morning, afternoon and evening. Short very fast (reaches 60 km / h) and can make big leaps (up to more than 3 m long) when pursued (in this case, makes hooks, jumps aside and retraces his steps) . Swim well. Not very visible when eating, because the ears are folded on the back. Like the Rabbit, it ingests some soft and shapeless dung (cecotrophs), emitted at night, which allows a better use of proteins and vitamins contained in its food.

When I saw and heard a Pied-billed grebe displaying I went to the side of the pond to hopefully catch some action...I had know Idea a battle would ensue between two males over a lovely female, I'm not sure if one was 'defending his rights' or not but it was a pretty exciting minute and something I've never seen before!
Other images seen below!
This handsome caribou (Rangifer tarandus) was defending a small group of females; in a way he's defending his entire breed since they're becoming a rare sight in their former territory. This nearly white coat is typical of how they look in winter; as summer progresses he'll shed the white hair and a sleek brown coat will grow in. While this is happening, though, the herd looks pretty disreputable!
The case needs some touch-up, the marquee light doesn't work, and the sound board went out within a few hours, but those can easily be repaired.
Noise-Cancelling Ear Plugs are advised in many situations. If you work in an industry where high noise levels are common, you probably wear ear defenders regularly. Loud noises can pose a significant risk to your hearing, so ear defenders exist to protect your hearing as you work.

Crab spider (Tarrocanus sp.) This is defensive pose to threaten away the trespassers from its nest. These spiders lay the eggs under the leaf and roll it away and make a small space to reside itself to guard it.
After seeing Defenders I wanted to update my Daredevil figure. First of all I want to give a shoutout to DaLastPrime for using cloth for texture on his DD, which I did copy.
The helmet is the ultron helmet sanded with sculpted brow, horns, and lenses.
The head was a Legolas head used as a base.
All the red on the torso, legs, and arms is fabric.
I used etape for the shoulder pads, leg straps, belt buckles, and all the black sections on the torso.
I also used cut up procreate (technique of Yale Jeong ) for the holster, knee pads, and silver parts on the torso.
This is definitely one of my favourites!
Thoughts and Suggestions appreciated!
...When you are old enough to read these words
Their meaning will unfold
These words are all that's left
And though we've never met, my only sun
I hope you know
That I would have been there to watch you grow
But my call was heard and I did go
Now your mission lies ahead of you
As it did my so long ago
To help the helpless ones who all look up to you
And to defend them to the end
Ride like the wind
Fight proud, my son
You're the defender
God has sent
Father,father,father
I look up to you and heed thy call
This letter ends my search
I'll live your dream now passed on to me
And I now wait to shake the hand of fate
Like the dusk awaiting dawn
So wizards cast your spell
With no heart to do me well
So it is written, it shall be
Defender...

Best known as Shoretroopers, they are also of assistance in some other circunstances other than defending imperial installations based on shores and coastal lines. In the picture, they are deploying heavy weapons preparing to lead a squad of regular stormtroopers.

Defender la alegría como una trinchera
defenderla del escándalo y la rutina
de la miseria y los miserables
de las ausencias transitorias
y las definitivas
defender la alegría como un principio
defenderla del pasmo y las pesadillas
de los neutrales y de los neutrones
de las dulces infamias
y los graves diagnósticos
defender la alegría como una bandera
defenderla del rayo y la melancolía
de los ingenuos y de los canallas
de la retórica y los paros cardiacos
de las endemias y las academias
defender la alegía como un destino
defenderla del fuego y de los bomberos
de los suicidas y los homicidas
de las vacaciones y del agobio
de la obligación de estar alegres
defender la alegría como una certeza
defenderla del óxido y de la roña
de la famosa pátina del tiempo
del relente y del oportunismo
de los proxenetas de la risa
defender la alegría como un derecho
defenderla de dios y del invierno
de las mayúsculas y de la muerte
de los apellidos y las lástimas
del azar
y también de la alegría.
