I look at my mission on the hologram that I have in my helmet, "Move your way through the wreckage and try to round up as many survivors as you can."
What survivors? The bombs were supposed to be non-lethal, apparently they were not.
The most I can find of a survivor is a slowly cooling skeleton.
Well, the last two persimmons. Prairie Ridge has many persimmon trees; all but this one were picked clean. I stood under a tree and watched this mockingbird eat its persimmons and defend its prize(s). I photographed other animals in the area (like the thrush and the snake) and it just so happened I snapped those "looking up" photos (although I'm pretty sure they weren't actually eyeing the persimmons), and when I scrolled through my photos in Lightroom, it created the impression that the animals on the ground were checking out the persimmons. While the spot from which I was photographing was quite near the bittern's pond, the bittern isn't at PR this winter; the photo is from a few years ago.
And, of course, I doubt a black snake would swallow a persimmon, but I never figured I'd see the snake's distant cousin munching on one either.
COMMENT IF YOU FAVE
This fig was pretty easy aside from the mask.
The legs were painted dark grey with some e-tape boots, with some wrinkles.
Belt has e-tape and a 3D buckle made from plastic.
The torso was a LBM Batman torso painted matt black and some dark grey wrinkles. The flesh tone was painted and outlined with dark red.
The arms were painted matt black to match the torso and the ropes are some string. Hands were flesh hands with painted black finger-less gloves.
The head was painted to match the bottom half of Charlie Cox's face. The mask was made with aluminium foil as a base. The mask has some e-tape for wrapping and some fabric detail. I know the fabric at the front is white but I went with tan cause thats' how it looks in most scenes to me.
For an easy fig that's a long description.
When you're all alone on Christmas morning, you seek solace and comfort elsewhere and the lake birds provide me all the diversion photo ops I need, and drama to boot. In this particular shot, a muscovy duck tries to defend her ducklings from from an attacking red shouldered hawk. (In the spirit of the season, I will not divulge how this ended)

As defenders of the Candy Kingdom these enormous machines are distinct for their glass dome heads, ice cream cone hats, and being tall enough to easily step over the walls within the Candy Castle. Joined by police chief of the Banana Guards, Captain Root Beer Guy, these stalwart servants are the primary protectors of the Candy Kingdom. All three have the sole purpose of defeating the Candy Kingdom’s enemies, and protecting its citizens and sovereignty. All three would sacrifice their lives to this important cause if destined to, and have done so before.

Returning from my parents the other night I made an impromptu stop to take a couple of pictures of the Land Rover. Being almost 10.00 pm I required a second long exposure so managed to rest the camera on a low wall.
The war memorial in the background details the names of the local villagers who lost their lives in WW1 and WW11. Included within the sad list of names is my great uncle Sgt George Dawson who was lost in action at Dunkirk.
It was very foggy and windy at Devil's Slide today so not sure if this pelican was even aware of the falcon nest that it wandered close to (though pelican's have been known to kill falcon chicks).
Inspired by the 8087 Lego TIE-Defender set, here is my rendering of this great and powerful TIE ship.

Viceroy butterfly prepared to do battle with invaders of its territory. Unfortunately, since the time of this photo, the owner of its meadow decided to mow. Now, with nothing to defend, this showy critter has moved along.
