Predictable title from me of course. Two soggy Black-tailed mule deer, doe and fawn, interrupted from their grazing. It was raining heavily, and they were of course quite far off, so pretty grainy shot. They're soaked as you can see, poor deers! They have green chins too, I hadn't noticed that before, but then the grass isn't green or wet for most of the year. They look so plump in winter, when there's so much grass.
Today is day 229 of Project 365 (Monday).

I rarely photograph deer, but these two little ones were just too cute to pass up with those big thick winter coats and snowy aspen landscape.
Have a great Tuesday!!!
With today being the President's Day holiday, I had the opportunity to get out this afternoon. Fortunately, we had a light/moderate snow and I set my sights on the Palmyra Cove Nature Park. I knew that I would have a good shot of finding some whitetail deer. Here is one of the portrait shots that I took this afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the evening!

Out walking with my 'butterfly' 18-200mm lens, following a close encounter with the female Roe Deer, this little fawn then came into sight, taking a brief glance at me before following its mother.
Not a great shot, but deer rarely post for me. This was taken right as darkness was falling and right before the critten ran into the woods.
While waiting for the sunset, a few deer past by us and I didn't know until I got home that she had her tongue out!
They arrived to eat the bird seeds. Once they caught sight of me and my camera they departed...but know they will return...
