Skip was tragically killed in a motor vehicle crash as he was traveling to work to begin his shift earlier this year. A stone bench overlooking Chapman Lake was dedicated to the Monticello Sculpture Gardens on August 13, 2018, on the college’s Godfrey Campus. The bench was commissioned by the children of longtime garden supporters, and Foundation board member, Joan and Chuck Sheppard, to honor their 65th wedding anniversary. Mayor James Thernes cuts a ribbon dedicating the new footbridge in Fort Ransom, N.D., and officially naming it the Fort Ransom Memorial Bridge on Sept. 15, 2012. After the small community's access was destroyed in recent flooding, North Dakota Army National Guard Soldiers constructed a new walk bridge throughout the summer of 2012 as an Innovative Readiness Training project. Pictured from left are 1st Lt. Cory Schumacher, of West Fargo, N.D., officer in charge of the project; Capt. Started in July 2019. the $50 million, three-story building project faced pandemic-related supply chain delays but was completed on budget. The new city hall is approximately 135,000 square feet and is located between the former City Hall and Building 2. More than 300 people will be providing all the same services – Treasurer, Revenue, DMV, City Clerk, Council Chambers, Volumeter Resources, and Communications.

Built circa 1700 with a dedication stone from 1750 this quiet backwater residence is typical of the local Cotswold building materials used to this day. The Cotswolds are hills and high ground to the south of the Avon valley in the English Midlands and have distinctive stone walled sheep fields or "cots" from which the region gains it's name.

Junior Minister & Strangford MLA Jonathan Bell attended the dedication of a memorial stone and Ulster ash grove to the Ulster Defence Regiment at the National Arboretum.

 

This is the first time that those members of the UDR who were murdered after having left the regiment have been commemorated.
