A statue I've been looking for on and off for about a decade now, the Good Smile Company 1/7 Fate: Unlimited Codes Saber Lily. It's not rare or anything, I just refused to pay prices that people were asking, as I knew that one day I'd run into someone needing to move or something.
That day was when I was in Alberta over Summer 2023.
The statue is in a pretty iconic pose for the character, and allows you to arm Saber with either Excalibur or Avalon with the Scabbard.
Originally released in 2009 or so, this statue has been reissued twice now, with the price going up every time. Certainly wasn't cheap back in the day and I don't think the reissues bucked that trend.
Having said that, the production values on the statue are incredibly solid by modern standards, and must have been incredibly top notch for the OG. Slightly larger scale than the usual 1/8 probably didn't help with the pricing either. This may even have been an early adopter of the PVC/ABS hybrids that are now the industry norm.
I didn't actually have much experience with Good Smile Company products back then other than Figma, and there was that one 1/6 Mai Shiiranui that was good but cost a small fortune.
Sculpting is fantastics as is the detailing. Paint work is great and no sloppy casting or finishes.
