The mecca of Bollywood theaters. DDLJ has been showing at the Maratha Mandir daily for over 10 years running. Across the street from Mumbai Central Station, the afternoon DDLJ show is at 11:15 and of course I went. (taken Feb 2006) ...and you know, 3 hours in a confortable AC building for 20 rupees on a hot Bombay afternoon, you can't beat that!

Had amazing breakfast at the hotel, bumped into Jimmy Carr -- made eye contact but just can't remember his name lol.
It's the day of the screen awards, so we hit the road to the next hotel. Nothing beats Taj, it's like what my friend said once "having sex with Madonna at 20" -- after such amazing hotel, what's gonna match the standard?
Vish and I went for the underdressed dress code for Delhi, and turns out that we are totally overdressed for Bombay. People here don't really give a damn about the look which is AWESOME. The show got delayed and all blah blah, I was so excited to see Shahrukh Khan on a motorbike over our heads. THE SRK!!! Having writing essays about DDLJ, about chaya chaya, it was such an overwhelming moment to be so close to him.
Had an awesome auto ride to Bandra for food after the show around 12am, good food, good ride by to the hotel.
Epic day :)

The king khan himself, Shah Rukh Khan, the biggest star of bollywood, as many call him. Starting his career as TV star, soon made his way to Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Deewana, soon there was no turning back.
Yash Raj Films made million by betting upon him; Darr, DDLJ, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer Zaara, Mohabatien... the list is endless. Had won maximum number of filmfare awards for best actor too.
