XJJ new to East Kent, DBV to Ribble
The Bristol VR was popular for school work in Wales and Clynnog & Trefor built up a substantial fleet of such vehicles, most of which were still in use during 2004 but subsequently replaced by Olympians. During term time they could be found outstationed in various locations but four are seen at the main depot during the summer holiday, probably with more out of shot behind.

Some scans of recently discovered old 6 x 4 prints taken by myself back in the 1980s and 1990s. These were taken with my trusted Canon AE1 camera and at the time I didn’t think some of them were good enough to use however, I thought some might find them interesting and that I would now share them.

Looking at them, it's hard to believe that both of these fine buses are 32 years old! Fleet numbers 831 and 2101 are seen here in Heaton Park looking very smart during the 2012 Trans-Lancs Rally.

Blackburn Dennis Dominator no 2 was delivered in April 1981, one of a batch of 5 vehicles. these buses did not last long, the entire batch passing to Warrington in June 1987. The bus is seen on Ainsworth Street Blackburn shortly before sale, in 1987. A gold fleetnumber can be seen beneath the windscreen, a legacy from when the bus carried anti-privatisation posters above the destination screen.
