D-ATUD in the TUI Blue livery being towed to the gate at Frankfurt Am Main. The aircraft in the background demonstrate just how strong Star Alliance's presence is at FRA!
Of all the airlines operating the TUI Group, the German TUIfly was founded in 2007 following the merger between Hapag Lloyd Flug and Hapag Lloyd Express. The airline operates as more or less a medium-haul charter and leisure carrier in Germany.
The airline featured one of the most distinctive liveries, a largely yellow fuselage with white underbody which as of 2013 is being removed in favour of the standard two-tone blue and white livery universally used by all airlines within the TUI Group.
Currently, TUIfly operate 25 Boeing 737's, 5 on the 737-700 and 20 on the 737-800. There are currently 5 737-800's on-order.
Uniform Delta is probably the more interesting of the 737's in TUIfly's fleet, not least the airline has a habit of painting their aircraft in special colours. Uniform Delta in this case carries 'Haribo Goldbären' advertising scheme, or Goldbears. Haribo was founded in 1920 by Hans Riegel in Bonn, Germany. The name Haribo is abbreviated 'HaRiBo'. In Germany, there is certainly a huge selection of Haribo which I brought back home and certainly were more-ish, these sweets not available in other countries.
Uniform Delta was delivered new to then Hapagfly in March 2006, transferring to TUIfly in January 2007. She has been in Haribo colour scheme since January 2010 and has only recently been fitted with fuel-saving Split Scimitar winglets. She is powered by 2 CFM International CFM56-7B26 engines.

Is it me or is this livery making me hungry?!
