# Still obsessed with fragmented adolescent memories, Alice, and binary solar systems -- since a majority of stellar systems are binary, I simply need to deduce which one I grew up in. I have been reminded periodically of the suggested existence of a " twin" to G2V, the sun in this system. If that is in fact correct, it's probably a dwarf and IR telescopes are currently searching for it. Irregardless, it's probable that mine is another system... I've always known that! ;-}

A SLOW-MO, COLOR-ENHANCED, TEXAS LIGHTNING EVENT. PROST!

>>> A recent and relatively rare (compared to last year...) treat for the Hill Country, and although shooting daytime lightning, um, sucks, the borderline freakish orange-red tone seems sufficient -- and hopefully visually engaging enough -- to illuminate this horizontal (C2C) lightning event. The storm itself unfortunately favored the NE area of our position, and essentially grazed us. I did grab a few images, watching the storm pass by..... daring it to turn back in this direction. Yes, I should be more cautious (even though, in all candor, I am) but, well, it's one of my fixations/obsessions/modalities of pseudo therapy/et al. 8^)

Thank you for taking a look. The cam of course did the real work, and with the adjusted speed and contrast enhancement, it's... well, give it a shot. It's perfectly safe (now ;)!

incidentally, the music is of course Bob Dylan -- not a tremendous fan (of the voice -- lyrics/poetry are a completely different discussion). Ok. I adored the book and film, Wonder Boys, and found Dylan's work for the soundtrack compelling, utterly infectious, and a regular mandatory listen. This specific song just works so well in cinematic life, and that which passes for a life currently, one I for bad or worse ;) call my own. ;-}
