I used a star lens filter with the sun peeking through the leaves. This didn't give a lens flare so I can't use it for the Crazy Tuesday's challenge, but I liked it enough to post.
In the harbour area Abersoch.
Boat named Darkstar.
Arriving in Abersoch on the Pwllheli road your eyes are inevitably drawn left as you approach the harbour. You can’t help it, it’s just what happens, what has always happened. What you are experiencing is the magnetic pull on your sight and senses of the vividly coloured jumble of buoys – pink buoys, bright yellows buoys and white buoys piled seemingly randomly on top of each other – lighting up the yard at Abersoch Moorings.

last Mirage 2000C livery ahead of the type's retirement from service this year. A ceremony to this efffect will be held at it's home base 115 Orange 23rd June. The squadron will then stand down as they transition to the Rafale and return to Orange in about 2 years.
Here is an example of what crossed polarized light can and can't do.
The bright crystal is orientated between two crossed polarizing filters so that it's optically active and the light passing through the crystal is twisted and allowed to pass freely through the 2nd polarizer in the configuration. The colors arise from the degree of twisting as the light travels within the crystal. Whereas the dark crystal is presenting its basal facet, which is optically inactive, so the singularly polarized light passing through it is unaffected and is extinguished when encountering the other polarizer.
The fact you can see the dark crystal at all is from the scattered light from the brighter one.
