"OUR TOWN: Fast Forward" is the first in a series of forums to look at new projects, development, ideas, even businesses and restaurants in Tallahassee. The evening served up a speedy brief on everything new, along with food served by food trucks Street Chefs, Banh Mi Palace and The Cravings Truck. Oh and dessert was served by Paisley Cafe.

On September 17, 2016 a group of activists held an action at the TD Bank branch on Boylston St, Boston, MA. The action was held in solidarity with the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) protestors and against TD Bank funding of the pipeline project.

The final stop before reaching the #nodapl camps in North Dakota was downstream of the contested crossing on the shore of the Missouri River to watch a beautiful sunrise as a beaver took an early morning swim.

A Water Protector holds up a feather toward heavily armed authorities that are pushing their line back to make way for the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. The public witnessed a new level of escalation on October 27, 2016 in the Native struggle at Standing Rock, as police swept through an encampment in the direct path of the Dakota Access pipeline (DAPL). The resulting standoff with the National Guard, and police officers from various states, led to more than 100 arrests. Advancing authorities attacked Water Protectors with flash grenades, bean bag launchers, pepper spray and Long Range Acoustic Devices (LRADs). It is crucial that people recognize that Standing Rock is part of an ongoing struggle against colonial violence. The Dakota Access pipeline (#NoDAPL) is a front of struggle in a long-erased war against Native peoples -- a war that has been active since first contact, and waged without interruption. Rally led by Native Hawaiians on the sidelines of the IUCN Congress in Honolulu. Demands included fighting against the Desecration of Sacred Mauna Kea, challenging the Trans Pacific Partnership, the destructive role of the US Military in the Pacific, the proposed Department of Interior rule to create a Native Hawaiian Tribe and opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline.
