“To him,

she was like a flower

that bloomed in the snow.

Thriving under conditions

in which nothing could grow.

To some,

she was a weed

born benighted.

But in his eyes,

she was a wildflower

with a soul ignited.”

waltzin' in the wonder of why we're here

So the darkness shall be the light,

and the stillness the dancing.

One photo. Image, textures and digital painting by me, Tom.

Thanks for your kindness, comments, faves and invites.

Nothing special, only a sunset at the baltic sea - but I like the tree on the left.

Wish you all a beautiful sunday.

Now the only rose that is as dark as this one is 'Oklahoma', a hybrid tea-rose from America with double petals. I also have 'Oklahoma' and I will post photographs of it asap.

Without a spark

More of the crimson red Laurier Rose (Oleander) flowers from the bush in the garden.

Dancing in the Dark is the only Bruce Springsteen song I really like. The video of him singing it on stage is well worth a view.... A little tidbit of useless info - the girl with the short hair at the front of the stage and who ends up dancing with him on stage is Courteney Cox of Friends fame

Grape leaves, doing their last dance as autumn arrives.

In the 1930s & 40s, "Dancing in the Dark" was a gentle love song that seems to fit this photo.

In the 1980s a completely different song by the same name was one of Bruce Springsteen's big, high-energy rock hits. Maybe I can take a photo to fit it too. There is a hurricane headed toward us here in Europe !!

PS - I got tired of scratching around in my older photos and went shooting today. As most photographers know, late afternoon October light is hard to beat.
