My DAL Rot was released today and apparently she is actually a super hero. Her name shall be Super Ratty and she shall rid the world of boring people who think they are too grown up for dolls!!!!
I forgot to say that three new people are coming to my house ^_____^

Kashmir - Dal Lake
Dal Lake is a lake in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The urban lake, which is the second largest in the state, is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is nicknamed the "Jewel in the crown of Kashmir" or "Srinagar's Jewel". The lake is also an important source for commercial operations in fishing and water plant harvesting.
The shore line of the lake, about 15.5 kilometres (9.6 mi), is encompassed by a boulevard lined with Mughal era gardens, parks, houseboats and hotels. Scenic views of the lake can be witnessed from the shore line Mughal gardens, such as Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Jahangir) and from houseboats cruising along the lake in the colourful shikaras. During the winter season, the temperature sometimes reaches −11 °C (12 °F), freezing the lake.
The lake covers an area of 18 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi) and is part of a natural wetland which covers 21.1 square kilometres (8.1 sq mi), including its floating gardens. The floating gardens, known as "Rad" in Kashmiri, blossom with lotus flowers during July and August. The wetland is divided by causeways into four basins; Gagribal, Lokut Dal, Bod Dal and Nagin (although Nagin is also considered as an independent lake). Lokut-dal and Bod-dal each have an island in the centre, known as Rup Lank (or Char Chinari) and Sona Lank respectively.
At present, the Dal Lake and its Mughal gardens, Shalimar Bagh and the Nishat Bagh on its periphery are undergoing intensive restoration measures to fully address the serious eutrophication problems experienced by the lake. Massive investments of around US $275 million (Rs 1100 crores) is being made by the Government of India to restore the lake to its original splendour.
I got to check out one of the coolest programs today.
Through a partnership with ISIS, Dental Hygiene students treat patients that are new to Canada; these patients wouldn't otherwise receive dental treatment due to costs.
Every Monday evening, patients from ISIS come in to the clinic with an interpreter and receive much needed dental care. They are often referred to surgeons or other specialists due to the scope of their oral health state.
This partnership allows Dental Health students to participate in community outreach and get experience in treating diverse cases.

It has been so long since i did a doll meet with Chin and Douglas and i think the first and last time we met was 1 and a half yrs ago where Douglas and i bought Naomi while Celine and Chin bought Richt together! @.@ how time flies~
I had so much fun taking photos of our steampunk dolls on a hot Sunday afternoon even after only resting for a mere 3 hours after i got home from work~ The only thing that was quite frustrating was that we kept getting chased away by security guards and police for loitering near the Supreme Court at the Old Parliament Lane because their security camera kept capturing the 4 of us doing some "weird" things~ =/
Anyway, we were admiring the details of each other's steampunk costumes and i thought Ra-Muw was super cute with all her accessories and her cute box~ =X (and thats when ppl start wishing they were rich)
Celine's Gyro looks cute with his "one size fits all" hat and his detailed outfit especially his coat. ^.^
It has really been a fun day and i hope there will be more doll meets to come! XD
