Caroline Dade, BJ '20, reports live for KOMU-TV on June 2 – election day – from the lawn of Jefferson Middle School in Columbia, Missouri. Said Dade, "I'm talking about a bond issue that's on the ballot for voters, which if they approve, it will be $20 million for the district to use on expanding a couple schools, doing renovations here at Jefferson Middle School, and then using some money for security updates as well." The De Soto Plaza and Fountain, built in 1925, is named after Hernando de Soto, the Spanish explorer and conquistador. The plaza features a monumental freestanding fountain that serves as a traffic circle at the intersection of Sevilla Avenue, Granada Boulevard and De Soto Boulevard. Designed by Denman Fink, the pedestal-type fountain supports an obelisk and features four relief carvings of faces containing water jets. Vintage lanterns provide light when the dark of nights falls. Yes, I know it is blurry. Nonetheless, I felt this was a neat shot to show the floor texture.

this was a a solo trip although it started with Rob who was with Tarah and (as far as i remember someone else) so quickly parted their company and shoot for Dade. This was a weekend right after a light snow so it added much needed texture to otherwise bare rock.
