For this shot I used a slow shutterspeed placed the camera on my head and slowly turned in a circle. The brighter streak in the middle is the sun.

This little waterfall only flows for a day or two after a good rainfall.
Traditionally it's dry.

I snapped this for fun but I like how it turned out. An everyday something that came straight out of the camera as something completely abstract.
oh, how this would have been made awesome had it been shot with a long exposure..but, alas.. i did not have my tripod.
i entered this into a themed shot on google + today, so thought i would share.
SERENITY with Lake Lowndes State Park to myself on Thanksgiving weekend 2013 five miles from home. So I had a lot to be thankful for.

It has taken me 9mos to figure out how I wanted to process this. One scraggly Shortleaf Pine on the left shows the needles from a couple of years ago that it is about to drop in a yellowish orange. The monsters are Loblolly Pines. Yellow is a Sweetgum tree and the orange colors by the lake are young Cypress trees which is one of the few conifer trees that looses all of its needles each year.
