Rom - zum heutigen Epiphanias-Fest nochmal ein Bild der lebensgroßen Weihnachtskrippe auf dem Petersplatz
Sitting out the back of the Newport Workshops on 28-2-13 is Steamrails D3 677.
D3 677 was built at the Newport Workshops entering service in 1917 as DD1021 and then renumbered to DD729 in 1925 and becoming D3 677 in 1930.
After being withdrawn it was placed in a park at Ringwood until it was acquired by Steamrail and moved to Newport as a source of spare parts.
Macro Mondays – theme: "staying healthy"
Shot notes: Not much time for a photo this week, so devised a quick setup using just a single, point-source light... a flashlight. Flashlight was about 1 m behind the subjects and about 0.5 m above the table surface. There was a small white reflector card on either side of the capsules. I wanted the starbursts in the specular highlights, so stopped down to f/13. Camera on a tripod, of course, for 1/20 sec.

Questo weekend con il mio amico Tommaso siamo tornati in pellegrinaggio sul nostro amato Gran Sasso per realizzare qualche buono scatto, sfruttando le condizioni meteo ancora favorevoli a noi fotografi paesaggisti prima che l'estate prenda il sopravvento.
Dopo un tramonto abbastanza deludente ho accompagnato Tom sul lago Racollo,un piccolissimo specchio d'acqua distante qualche centinaio di metri dall'omonimo rifugio dove pernottavamo,sono andato più con la curiosità di provare il 14-24 negli scatti notturni che per fare realmente buone fotografie(è Tom il nottambulo ^_^) .
Già dai primi scatti ci siamo resi conto che la nottata ci avrebbe regalato forse le immagini migliori del weekend e anche se le mie non eccellono,(complice soprattutto la mia inesperienza ed il non aver seguito alla lettere le indicazioni di Tommaso) sono rimasto cmq abbastanza soddisfatto.
Di sicuro ci proverò di nuovo dal quel posto ;-)

Stagecoach London 17992 (LX53KBZ) on route D3 extra at Canary Wharf on 29/03/2018
Adding extra capacity due to the DLR strike is 17992, a TransBus Trident/ALX400 on route D3 between Crossharbour and Whitechapel.
Although blinded as a D3, the section between Canary Wharf and Crossharbour was different to the actual route (which terminates at Leamouth with the 277 replacing it between Canary Wharf and Crossharbour). Additionally, it ran to Crossharbour via route D8.
Due to a low bridge, the regular D3 can't accommodate double deckers.
