I got to the Convention Center about 5 am, and entered the main entrance. I got directed to the morning line for shopping, to the second floor of the exhibit hall, next to Hall A. I got into the show floor at around 9:10 am and made a beeline to the Disney Store. There was a line in front of it, but thankfully this time the standby line was still open. They estimated that the current wait time was about 1 and half hours, which made me optimistic about being able to get the Art of Snow White LE dolls. When I got near the head of the line, a CM told me that there were still Designer Pin Sets and Lithographs available this morning, so that made me happy that I might be able to get them as well.
I got in the store at 11 am, and saw that there was plenty of LE Snow White and Hag dolls on the shelves. There was also lots of other Art of Snow White merchandise that I hadn't seen photos of before. I also grabbed the Designer Collection Lithograph Set and the Pin Set, and quickly made my way to the cash registers. This time everything went smoothly paying for the items. I also got the $5 Purchase With Purchase Snow White LE 3000 pin. Finally I pre-ordered the Designer Collection doll sets. After that I went straight home. I very successful day of Disney shopping!
I didn't take very good photos of the dolls, but I will post detailed photos of all my purchases later today.
Here are photos and notes on my first day at the D23 Expo 2017. I got to the Convention Center about 5:45 am, and go to the end of the outside showfloor line at about 6 am. I went through metal detectors, and was directed to a square area outlined by tape. It was overcast and about 75 degrees. There were many thousands of people ahead of me. There were also the overnighters down in Hall E, who got to go into the show floor ahead of us in the outside line. The sun broke through the clouds at about 8:30, so it started getting a lot warmer. They outside lines started moving at about 9 am towards the main entrance.
I got in at about 9:30, and made a beeline to the Disney Store. Unfortunately, the standby line was closed at that point, and they gave me a Store Pass for 3 pm. They said the line could be opened up at any time, so I could come back later to see if they had opened it up again.
I went to the D23 Design Challenge display, and took a few photos. At that time the first place winner wasn't displayed. I finally saw it when I left, and they had also rearranged the display.
I then went to the Disney Music Emporium, because of the many newly released picture vinyl record discs. I was interested in the Disneyland attraction discs. But when I got there, I also decided to get the Moana picture disc. I also got a holographic vinyl of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Shining a light on the vinyl while it spins on a turntable makes a holographic image of the Millennium Falcon float above one disc, and an X-Wing Fighter in another.
Then I went to the Disney Store (at about 11 am), and was pleasantly surprised that they had opened up the standby line. The Store Pass line (for the 11 am time slot) had also started to be filled. I got in there I gathered up my goodies. I also took pictures of various merchandise, especially limited edition or Designer merchandise. However, a mishap with my bank card that I couldn't resolve forced me to leave with just the Designer Lithographs, which I paid for with cash. Fortunately I fixed the issue after I got home, and was okay for the next day.

I was fortunate to get this limited edition “D23 Incredibles” set on E-Bay. The set is truly “incredible”! The Disney artist captured “Mr. Incredible & Elastigirl” perfectly. I love that they did a doll version of “Helen Parr / Elastigirl” this time around. She was not made back in 2004 as a doll. Hopefully she’ll be available when “The Incredibles 2” movie comes out next year.

D23 Expo. It's the new interactive version of audioanimatronics. They can look at you and tell whether you are happy or sad. They recognize things like smiles or frowns. They also can answer your questions.

Snow White and the Prince - Limited Edition Doll Set
Disney Fairytale Designer Collection
$129.95 US
US Disney Store
Released and purchased in store on August 20, 2013.
First Look
There were 18 Snow White doll sets at the store, and only about a dozen people who entered the raffle for the chance to buy them. So from the get go, I knew I was sure to leave with the dolls. There was one lady in the group that I remembered from the Designer Villain raffles, and we caught up on how our doll collections were growing. Also another person waiting for the dolls said she actually got the Designer Pin Set in her cart, and purchased them, but got an ''I'm sorry'' email later saying that the item was sold out, and they were refunding her money.
At about 1:07 pm, they called out 5 names at a time to purchase the dolls. My name was actually called out first. Then we were marched into the store to buy the dolls. The store only had the Snow White dolls set on display behind the counter, and none of the other dolls on display at all. The main Fairytale Designer Collection display was unchanged, except that the Ariel mugs were now sold out. So I decided not to take any photos inside the store, since there was no real changes, and I couldn't take any closeups of the Snow White set on display.
Just after purchasing the dolls, I set them down at a table outside the Disney Store. Then I took a peek at the dolls to make sure there were no defects, before leaving with them. I first took the box out of the Designer Fairytale Gift Bag. Then I took the sleeve off the box, to reveal the dolls inside of a clear acrylic display case, with a gold base and nameplate. The case and dolls looked perfect to me. The serial number is #558 of 6000.
I will photograph the set boxed, during the deboxing, and fully deboxed. I will also pose the dolls next to comparable dolls, for instance the Gold D23 Snow White doll set.

Designer Hans has been deboxed. He is posed free standing.
Photos of the D23 Exclusive Designer Elsa and Hans doll set. I purchased it on its release day, Friday August 14, 2015. It is Limited Edition and cost $129.95. My set is #758 of 1023. It is part of the 2015 Disney Fairytale Designer Collection, but is a variant of the LE 6000 version. This D23 version has Elsa and Hans in their coronation outfits. The regular version has Elsa in her Snow Queen outfit, and Hans in his normal gray outfit, and will be released in stores and online on October 27-28, 2015.
Hans is in white, and Elsa is in teal and purple. Elsa is also holding her golden coronation orb and scepter. They are posable 12'' dolls. They are supported by built in doll stands, and inside of a display case with a golden nameplate and protected by a clear acrylic cover, with a fully illustrated slipcover over that.
Elsa is very similar to the Limited Edition Coronation Elsa 17'' Doll that was released in March 2014. One big difference is that Designer Elsa has her royal orb and scepter, and a blue jewel in her crown, that are missing from the 17'' doll.
