Taken at dusk on the Forth Road Bridge. Tambo had texted me to suggest we hit the bridges for a sunset however, he has a detrimental influence on the weather, suffice to say, the clouds rolled in to obscure the sunset forcing us to shoot car trails.
The night was a bit of an anti climax, I guess the curse of Tambo struck again lol

We arrived at our final destination, Nice. We rode the actual "Route des Grandes Alpes", from Thonon-les-Bains, through Cluses, Les Saisies, Beaufort, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Val-d'Isère, Col de L'Iseran, Col du Glibber, Cold du Lautaret, Briançon, Col d'izoard, Barcelonnette, Col de Cayolle, and finally to Nice.
I rode 1,000km, and climbed over 30,000metres, or 98,000 feet. That is like climbing three full Everest. A challenging, but fantastic trip.
This is Place Messéna in Nice, a large square in the centre of old Nice. If you are wondering what this buddha looking statue is doing there, it's one of seven, and part of a permanent monumental art display on the Place, and represents the seven continents.

I passed 7500 miles for the year today in misty rain that came in waves. At 7520 miles I hold a 290 advantage over last year's effort. As usual, weather will be the main factor in the final result.
Last year I ended up at 8437 miles on December 31.
