This topic is near and dear to me. As a victim of cyber-bullying I understand how it can change your life.

The wounds on the inside take longer to heal than wounds on the outside do. They hurt more, they last longer, they alter who you are. Though it always makes you feel the way I look in this pic.

If you need help, don't hesitate to reach out for someone.

#FightAgainstCyberBullying

We need to start taking responsibility for the words we use. Words leave a much more damaging mark then we realize and have the power to raise someone up and put them down. Be the Change you wish to see in this world and be a power for the positive. If you are experiencing bullying in any form, or are in a relationship that is verbally abusive on line, reach out, get help, you aren't alone.

i have never spoken out before, adds fuel to the fire, fans the flames so I'm told. Don't rise to it, that's what they want, Don't react, that's what they want you to do! SO i say nothing. days months years past, BUT they don't give up, any tiny opportunity they get, they willl use. They unfriend you, Block you. BUT still talk about you, the more you don't react, the more they continue to goad you. Years past, it doesn't stop. personal emails, statuses and memes on socail media. I hit rock bottom, and then i come back up again, she still continues, even joined the #fightagainstcyberbullying campaign HA!! I pray for her, i really feel sorry for her and if she gets something out of me responding thats ok.

I send her this message

I hope you are ok,and that you reach out and get the help you need i hope you are well and and pray that you can one day be happy, healthy and carefree just like me, I wish you peace

If the scars on the inside were actually on the outside

When you think of cyber bullying you think of a meek person that can’t protect themselves getting taken on by the big mean brute bully on the other side of the screen.

It doesn’t always work like that. It’s easier to be the bully on the screen. Anyone can do it. Anyone can be the victim of cyber-bullying. I’m one, well more than one time. A few years ago, here on Second Life, and my SL Facebook account and Flickr was the worst experience. You would not think of it, I’m an adult, 50 years in the making. I can handle myself and there isn’t a soul who would try something like that with me in rl. On the internet however, everyone is fair game.

I won’t go into who did the bullying and what happened because the reality is, this is the space where it happened, and I don’t want it to start up again, nor is this about them. I am not only still feeling the effects of when it happened, but I’m still worried it will continue. I just finished writing two paragraphs explaining what happened, without naming names and then deleted them. I’m not ready to tell the story, don’t want to deal with the fallout either.

I usually try to make sure I say the right things when I post now, and I try to like to right pictures or tag the correct people. All of which have led to the cycle of bullying from the original bullies or their friends.

I tell you cyber bullying makes you feel small, and I’m a big guy so that’s not easy to do. The difference with cyber bullying is there is nobody to punch in the mouth to get them to stop.

I wanted to quit taking pics. I wanted to quit SL, close my FB account, leave Flickr. I didn’t quit because I found someone that helped me get through it all. She doesn’t know how much she really helped. Hell I didn't really know. I’d thank her today if we kept in touch. Things went sour later on. You know who you are, if you are reading this, thank you. I would have quit though, and it kept going for a while so I wanted to quit a whole bunch of times. This bullying was deep , I haven't gone into any of it, the nature of it or the extent, but it was deep. Even called a lawyer to discuss it.

So today I’ll just show you my scars, the ones on the inside, as if they were on the outside. Then I will get back up again and continue forward.

Thank you Ameya Moon and Thalia for putting this together.

Blue Shirt Day, also known as World Day of Bullying Prevention, takes place on the first Monday of October each year, being the kickoff to National Bullying Prevention Month. Students, schools, and community members wear blue shirts to highlight bullying prevention, and in solidarity with those who experience bullying in all its forms, such as cyberbullying, cruelty, racism, and homophobia. The color blue was chosen because in many cultures it is seen as bringing calmness and peace, as well as importance and confidence.

The photo “Mental Distress” highlights the struggles young people under 13 face on social media.

Despite official age restrictions, many access these platforms by bypassing the rules. Exposed to inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and social pressure, they risk anxiety, addiction, and a loss of self-confidence.

Excessive use can harm their mental health, social development, and academic performance.

Attended a useful seminar on cyberbullying and kids. Afterwards, lingered outside Kings Cross station to shoot some early evening scenes; low sunshine and lengthening shadows.

A dedication for March 8, International Women's Day

but every day is a Woman Day.

And for May 14, the Mother's Day, of course <3

Edit: And today Sat. Nov. 25 2023, World Day for the elimination of gender-based violence, let's #orangetheworld to #stopviolence !

...Or, as Friend Aurelio says For Women today, everyday !

I was used to see my Amaryllis* plant blooming 2 symmetrical flowers, one opposite to the other. This time it blossomed three and the third and last (in the middle) just flowered this morning.

*Correct botanical name of these flowers above: Hippeastrum (genre Amaryllis).

Shot today in manual modality, in natural in-door noon light with my glorious Fujifilm XS-1 and its potent hyperzoom Fujinon lenses 624, an almost vintage camera exemplair bought last year pristine in box from the collection of a photographer. A great camera, a little complex as it's needed every time a manual set up and equalization of colours but apt to give true tones and such detailed textures in the things photographed that usually escape to the eye sight.

Do we realise just how much cyberbullying can affect someone?

Out with the old and in with the new?

Not so fast.

As we race into the future without even glimpsing back, I have to wonder if that isn’t a mistake.

I certainly can’t argue with the benefits that modern technology has provided – constantly evolving medical capabilities, media marketing for artists like myself, less paper use, greater knowledge accessibility, just to name a few. Advancement certainly has an upside.

Is there a downside though? How often have you walked down an empty street and wondered where all of the kids are? We used to play and bike until the street lights came on, now it seems kids are home playing video games, surfing the net, feverishly texting or watching TV shows with no commercials. Are we losing our human connection?

I am by no means lumping every teen (or adult for that matter) into this observation but it is a growing concern for many people I talk to. I know teens who can barely hold a conversation with an adult because they’ve never had to learn how. What happens when they go for their first job interview? Or their second or their third?

And what about cyber bullying? It’s so easy to throw stones when you don’t have to look someone in the eye and see the hurt it causes. I’ve seen it many times even in the photography world. There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and being just plain old mean.

You may be wondering why I have included this photograph into my environmental series “Footprints” but it’s main message is meant to be about connection. If we lose our emotional ability to connect with the world, then who will be left to care about it’s welfare?

I guess the bottom line is we should all get a little more unplugged and tune in a little more to our surroundings and loved ones. In this household it’s our New Years resolution to do just that.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2016 full of creativity, love and adventure!

Not long ago, I’ve noticed this monster who, hidden behind bushes, was spying the passersby. Wishing to unmask him and as I had the camera with me, I took a picture of him. Unfortunately, he observed me too and became very angry. I had to promise I won’t go with the photograph to the police, but even when he threatened me, I refused to delete the picture and explained him that I really need it for the Macro Mondays weekly challenge. After I told him about Internet (not forgetting to mention the hate in the net, the cyberbullying, the surveillance and the personalized advertising) from reasons I didn’t understand he turned pale and looked much scared than me. Finally, he agreed and let me go back to the great and safe human world and he return to his frightful, monstrous world. If I think now over our fleeting encounter, I believe it was yet a friendly monster.

HMM dear friends and don't forget: keep your monsters at bay.

Two further tries for the theme in my photostream...

Late in the afternoon on the last day in March 2009, I walked into Bryant Park, which is located behind the New York Public Library, between 41st and 42nd Street, facing Avenue of the Americas. There were several people reading and basking in the sun, a couple people typing on their laptop computers, and one chess game underway. I spent about half an hour wandering around to see what looked photo-worthy, and then wandered off to get some dinner...

This woman was typing away on a laptop computer ... alas, it was not an Apple Powerbook. But maybe she doesn't know any better. Just think: if she had been typing on a Mac, her photo probably would have been published a thousand times by now!

It's unfortunate that things have come to this, but I am going "Friends Only", as a certain individual here on Flickr has made my life a living hell, spread horrible rumors, driven friends apart from me, and his latest "FARCE" is so out of control, that I cannot handle him "stalking" me...that is how he found out I sold off a doll and has posted drama and lies. If you are being cyber-bullied, or harassed, I suggest you contact this site: www.stopbullying.gov/cyberbullying/how-to-report/ or www.ic3.gov/default.aspx.

This hobby is about dolls, plain and simple, the love of a big-eyed doll and having fun with a hobby, not harassing people, not competing against other Flickr Members with photography or doll clothes, or the most expensive doll, stalking people, posting lies, etc. If you wish to "follow" me here on Flickr, you will need to leave a message here, or send me a Flickr email. Chances are if you follow this certain Male Individual, I will not be adding you to my Friends List, especially those people who commented on his recent post about me. There is so much more to his ridiculous FARCE than anyone can imagine...... This is the only way that he won't be able to see what I am doing with my dolls, etc etc. How very sad it's come to this. Please keep in mind with 900 people I follow, It will take awhile to add you as a "friend", and I will be cleaning up my contact list along the way.

Our Daily Challenge - Begins with P = Phone

Over my years in the Lego community, I have been the victim of multiple cyberbully attacks, often by the same people. I am often seen as an easy muse, an easy target, and someone who can be harassed, mocked, and more.

I am making this post to help shine light on this issue. This is not just something that happens to me. This happens to people in a multitude of different communities, even outside of Lego. These may seem like harmless pranks, but they carry with them severe ramifications for the victim's mental health. Because of these kinds of pranks, I have trust issues with those I used to value in this community. Cyberbullying can also lead to things like depression and other, darker things.

All I'm asking for is for you guys to spread the word, and help me help you and others from getting harassed online and used for the butt of people's jokes. I don't know if this will make a dramatic impact on the community, but it will be a step in the right direction.

Thank you

~Sarah

Hi, I died. Here are my last words: "JUST KIDDING". A smirk and wink to my stalker fans, who have been telling me to off myself recently.

On a serious note.. Cyberbullying is a real danger, unfortunately. Not everyone can be told to go kill themselves and take it lightly.

Luckily, I do not care enough.

Dear hater and stalker, here's a message for you, ok? I'm flattered you've spent your time and energy on me. I mean.. it takes some dedication to create a new avatar, and talk things out of your @ss, in an attempt to hurt me, and the people I love. No matter what you think I've done, from your limited point of view.. I forgive you. Yes, I forgive you for being small minded and judgemental. Maybe one day... life will teach you a lesson about how you're human, and capable of making mistakes too. Lord knows you need it. I'm no saint. I've never denied it. But that's the big difference between you and me. When I'm wrong, when I have something to resolve.. I talk to the people who matter. Hiding behind an alt to say things you wouldn't want to say otherwise.. is a coward move. I don't have to explain myself to you, and I'm not going anywhere. SUCK IT UP :D

I got tagged!! And it's about stopping cyberbullying!!

My picture represents the victim running away from the bully until they are cornered. Meaning you don't know what to do anymore. I would imagine the victims keep these things to their self and don't share with others about the constant mean things being said to them. So the emotional stress makes them go over board when they are trapped and have nowhere else to run.

So please DAME YO (supposedly this means stop in jappanese) cyberbullying!!!

Thank you Avabumbe-I'm Luka for tagging me!!

i was a victim

please join my group& discuss to learn more about what is happening to teens across the nation

please tag more people to spread the word(:

this idea is actually inspired by my persuasive paper that i'm handing in tomorrow since i have school :'((((

so fun fact: i'm jamming out to Jordin Sparks right now. back in the day when American Idol was good.. i don't think i'm gonna watch this season XD only the auditions because they're funny but i mean this judges situation is just not good.

so i feel i should let you all know a project i'm doing!

i am taking a self portrait everyday for a year. just a simple smile snapshot with no edit and then on January 1st, 2012 (i started yesterday) i will finish and i will then put all 365 of me into a stop motion type thing and have it available to me to see my changes and whatnot. i am so so determined and excited!

well that's all for now. off to write a speech on cyberbullying! adios mi flickr amigos/amigas:D

So this picture is about cyber-intimidation.

Some people just are jealous about others, sadly. They are too much scared to talk to you in the face, so they use to hide themselves behind a computer or a cellphone or whatever.

This is a cause that I care a lot about, and we are on a website, and sometimes I see some cyber intimidation and we really need to stop that, because this is a major problem in our generation.

Why is she naked ?

Because when people always insult you, you just feel exposed to everyone, without protection. You feel harmless and just want to run away.

Why it's dark around her and she is so bright ?

Because when you live cyber intimidation, you feel a bit blind. You feel like you fall in a dark tunnel, asking yourself why people can be that mean. What did you do to them ? You feel you don't have the control. But at the same time, you feel always light, that you are always the center of the attention, that people talk about you all the time

Why all the words on her skin ?

I wanted to represent they are like tattoos : they stay forever and it's hard to erase. When you get an insult, you hear it all the time repeating in your hears. And when other bad sentences arrive, the sound is louder...maybe forever.

Why is she carrying her computer so carefully ?

Because when so people receive bad messages, they just can't stop looking at them, wondering what these people think of you.

I never cyber bullied someone and never got cyber bullied, excpet some little actings bitches do at my school, and do to everyone. This is some advices that I can give you :

Whatever they say, DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY.

These people love hating, and are amd and jealous about you. Don't even wonder why. Some people just think by getting people down are gonna put them up.

Keep your dignity

Don't say you cry and they are horrible persons or anything : that's what they want. Just say stuff like "Alright, that's fine" and go away.

Don't give a sh*t

They don't like you ? They think you are a slut, bitch, loser, freak, fag ? Alright then. They just don't worth it.

SHARE ! :D

It sounds stupid, but when you talk about your experiences to someone you trust or you like, it really gives a feeling of freedom. You can even talk about your experiences right now. :)

And if there's any cyber-bullies out there, just wonder : "Would I say that if this person was in front of me ? Would I like to receive these kind of messages ?" No ? Then don't post it.

Because virtual messages hurt in the real world.

xx

Here is my group of characters for Ninjago Beyond.

When the bomb that destroyed all technology went off, one man was prepared. His true name was shrouded in mystery, but the locals called him Noodle Joe, as he was thought to be homeless and Randy who runs the supermarket swears he saw him slurping noodles out of a drainpipe once. Little did Randy know, he could now have been more wrong, for Noodle Joe was neither homeless nor slurping noodles out of that drainpipe (in fact, he was actually trying to see if his sneeze would come out the other side if he sneezed in one end). Noodle Joe was, however, Ninjago's local corn flake enthusiast and apocalypse conspiracy theorist. Noodle Joe had stockpiled away enough corn flakes to last him for years.

The old man with the metal hat, Master Betcha, was once the most feared bouncer in the land. Legend tells that he once ejected the a Sykovian Dragon from the Ninjago City brewery at which he was employed. However, on one fateful night, Master Betcha ejected an underage drinker from the premises, only to find out the next day that it was a young Steve Jobs. When Stevie sobered up the next day, Master Betcha paid dearly for this grave error. Steve used his influence to change Ninjago's law: it was now illegal for anyone OVER the age of 21 to be caught drinking (Steve paid for this decision a few years later. Also this law would become obsolete once the bomb went off.) Master Betcha, an uncontrollable drinker of water, lost his job, and was became a degenerate bum who hung out in alleyways and did unspeakable acts just to get a quick shot of water. He's been to jail like a ton and let me tell you, he's seen things that would make you paint your knickers yellow.

However, this is where Master Betcha's grandson, Hugh, comes in (the one with the flaming red hair). Master Betcha found himself in a familiar situation. Slumping against a dumpster in the worst neighborhood in Ninjago, he raised a Dasani water bottle to his lips, thinking "how did I end up here again?" His whole body shuddered as it trickled down his throat. He knew that he would just end up thirsty again later. This was no permanent fix. But he just couldn't help himself. He had tried everything. Rehab, photosynthesis, alcohol, but none of it matched the cool, refreshing feeling he got when he gulped down that blissful H2O. Suddenly, that mailman guy from the TV show came up to him.

"You Betcha?" he asked.

"You betcha." Master Betcha replied.

The mailman handed him a letter and walked off, not eager to be seen with such a unfashionable person. Master Betcha opened the letter and read it. Apparently, his grandson had anonymously cyberbullied his parents out of the house, and child services was asking Master Betcha to watch over the boy. Master Betcha got up, hopeful. If he could do right by this boy, then maybe, just maybe, he could do right by himself. Maybe this boy who happened to also be the world's greatest cyberbully, was his chance to redemption.

Master Betcha adopted Hugh. Hugh was able to cyberbully Steve Jobs into sending funds to an mysterious bank account belonging to a Mr U. Nderagedrinker. With the money, the Betchas had been able to buy a house on the outskirts of Ninjago City, next to a shack belonging to a crazy old man named Noodle Joe. Master Betcha began to train Hugh in the ancient art of the bouncer, called "Bounce-Ing" (pronounced like "Bounce_EEEEEEENGGG").

However, Master Betcha had foolishly trusted his grandson and invested all his money in Bitcoin. When the bomb went off, Master Betcha was left completely bankrupt and unable to feed either himself or Hugh. Noodle Joe, however, offered corn flakes in exchange for one thing: help in vanquishing his enemies. You see, Noodle Joe despised the people of Ninjago for naming him Noodle Joe. As a child, Noodle Joe's village was invaded by a man named George Eo, heir to the Eo noodle dynasty. Noodle Joe was forced to watch as George Eo personally choked out each of his family members with a piece of lo mein. Ever since, Noodle Joe has sought vengeance on George Eo, and wishes death upon all those who call him "Noodle Joe". Since that's everybody, Noodle Joe sees the world as his enemy, so the Betchas really have their work cut out for them. Not to mention, Hugh has kept up his cyberbullying through the mail, and sends Noodle Joe anonymous troll letters making bad jokes about noodles and telling him his quest folly.

What ensues is a heartfelt sitcom about the strenuous relationships forged by an obscene amount of cornflakes, an addiction to water, and the technology-free cyberbullies who lurk in the shadows of society (AKA regular bullies.) Thanks for reading all that and I hope you consider me!!!

Gore remained seated; I wish I would have looked to see if he clapped at all but I was looking through the DSLR to take photos. I wish I had appreciated how epic this moment was at the time, but I had forgotten that Gore blamed Lewinsky for his loss.

Quotes from her TED Talk:

“At the age of 22, I fell in love with my boss, and at the age of 24, I learned the devastating consequences.”

“You're looking at a woman who was publicly silent for a decade. Obviously, that's changed, but only recently.”

“a surprising thing happened. At the age of 41, I was hit on by a 27-year-old guy. I know, right? He was charming and I was flattered, and I declined. You know what his unsuccessful pickup line was? He could make me feel 22 again. (Laughter) I realized later that night, I'm probably the only person over 40 who does not want to be 22 again.”

“What that meant for me personally was that overnight I went from being a completely private figure to a publicly humiliated one worldwide. I was patient zero of losing a personal reputation on a global scale almost instantaneously.”

“My mom… was reliving 1998, reliving a time when she sat by my bed every night, reliving a time when she made me shower with the bathroom door open, and reliving a time when both of my parents feared that I would be humiliated to death, literally.”

“A marketplace has emerged where public humiliation is a commodity and shame is an industry. How is the money made? Clicks. The more shame, the more clicks. The more clicks, the more advertising dollars. We're in a dangerous cycle. The more we click on this kind of gossip, the more numb we get to the human lives behind it, and the more numb we get, the more we click. All the while, someone is making money off of the back of someone else's suffering.”

"Public shaming as a blood sport has to stop.” “We need to return to a long-held value of compassion and empathy.” “Shame can’t survive empathy.”

From a Facebook discussion about this photo, someone proposed that maybe she is a fabulous person, a possibility that never occurred to me prior. Having seen her in person for the first time (she even invited me to lunch), I can now understand the question, as she has been re-humanized from the abstract projection we saw in the media. The headlines and labels de-humanize the specific person and evoke a penumbra of associations, where headline readers fill the gaps in our minds with the stereotype or mental model of an "actor" like this. It feels like the common strategy of de-humanizing the enemy in wartime.

Cyber bullying, conceptual computer artwork.

To Start Off:

A few days ago my school had an Anti Bullying assembly. It talked about suicide, child pornography, cyberbullying, and fighting. Throughout the whole DAMN assembly, kids (who should be responcible teenages) laughed at the statistics and facts. IT'S NOT A FUCKING FUNNY SUBJECT. I got very pissed off, and stood up. I yelled, over the laughter, "Yeah, laugh now. One day when you find YOU caused a poor kid to take their life over what YOU said, come to me and tell me how funny it is." I was yelled at by teachers and threatened with suspension. My school doesn't take this fucking subject seriously. I'm SICK AND TIRED OF BULLYING. Before, I was too shy about doing anything. But now, I'm done with this bullshit. So, me and my friends Amber, Aaliyah, and Ange are making a presentation. With our principals permission of corse, we will show this video/ slideshow of bullying and it's effects. THERE WILL BE GRAPHIC PICTURES OF SELF HARM. THERE WILL BE ACTUAL SUICIDE

NOTES. I'm tired of my school taking this damn problem so lightly. Teachers don't care. Students don't care. I'm ready to start an epidemic of bullying prevention.

Why Post Something Like This Here?:

Anywhere on the World Wide Web, you will find cyberbullying. So, I want everyone here on Flickr to participate in my new project, "Operation: BullyProof."

What Do We Do?:

Tommorow(Or over this weekend), I want everyone on here to post 4 pictures of your dolls. (or yourself, etc)

Picture 1: A suicide/antibullying public service announcement(PSA)

Picture 2: Dolls coming together as one.(Like, Monster High, Bratz, Barbie, Moxie)

Picture 3: Use the song "The Way She Feels" By Between The Trees or "Make It Stop" by Rise Against as your inspiration.

Picture 4: Triumph against the odds. Make your dolls show hope, courage, strength.

I want deep, emotional photos. I want to show these damn bullys what their getting out of their harsh words.

So, please participate and tag me in the photos. The title should have "Operation:Bullyproof." Somewhere in them. Thank you for reading and STOP THE HATE.

IDENTITY - What defines who you are?

Is it your shape?

Your skin?

Your clothes?

Your groups or activities?

When I first came to Second Life, it was a journey of self-discovery on figuring out who I am as a person and how that applied to my real life. I have made many friends from across the globe in my four years here and the only reason I stay is to connect with them.

Some people are sadly so disconnected in real life AND Second Life that the only thing they can think of doing is attacking others out of their own insecurities. They bully people online by harassing them, attacking events, and copybotting the creations of hardworking artists and designers. People react in different ways to these attacks, from bullying the person right back to ignoring them altogether. I highly encourage the latter but since some cannot seem to do that for whatever reason, I propose a different idea.

I am starting a Flickr campaign focused on self-empowerment. I feel the real issue is people put too much emphasis on identifying themselves through shapes, skins and titles and forget that it is your personality overall that makes you unique. Just because someone copies you, doesn't take away from who YOU are. You are you. I am me. There is nothing any copybotting griefer can do to change the person on the other side of that screen.

I encourage you to take a photo of yourself and manipulate "copies" of yourself to portray this point. Tell us about your titles, groups, expose everything. Give away styling info down to the eyes and skin to say, "hey if you really think you'll have a better Second Life by looking exactly like me, by all means, go ahead. You will never become ME because only I Am ME."

Please join me on this expression of self-empowerment and let everyone know exactly WHO you are.

Last day to support this amazing venue and cause.

Cyberbullying is a relatively new phenomenon. Kids have been bullying other kids for generations. However, with the introduction of technology to expand their horizons, the latest generation have been able to bully others through the use of these technologies.

Cyberbullying itself is defined as the “willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices.”

And, unfortunately those of us in Second Life are not immune. With the rise of anonymous blogs and other forums where one can make comments under protection of anonymity, it seems that bullying has become more and more prevalent. These comments are defaming, hurtful and have ruined reputations, businesses and forced some to leave SL entirely.

In a platform where we have the opportunity to learn about other cultures and the tolerance that goes along with it, this type of behavior should not be allowed to happen, but it does. We as a fashion community in Second Life have decided it's time to raise awareness of this issue and let those who are committing the bullying know that we see what they are doing, and will no longer stand and let them have the upper hand.

So Models Giving Back has decided to start the "Speak No Evil" initiative. This initiative is a collaborative effort of several modeling agencies here in Second Life and will run the month of February, the month of Love. We ask that all members of the SL Fashion community join us as we take a stand against cyberbullying.

This month long event will have two parts to it:

*A Shopping Event with 100% of the sales going to The Cybersmile Foundation - to fight

cyberbullying of adults.

www.cybersmile.org/

*A month long photo campaign where those who wish can create their own photo and post it to

their blogs, our flickr page, and other social media sites. We will ask that all who participate

make it their profile photo inworld as well as on their social media sites for the month of

February. More details will be released soon on our website.

This event is sponsored by Models Giving Back in conjunction with BOSL, AIM, L'Amour Diversity, ModeLS Magazine, Models Workshop, Versus Magazine, SL Fierce Magazine and more.

For questions, please NC Jamee Sandalwood inworld or IM on Facebook.

Thank you for joining us in this important campaign.

Yellow and Black has had enough with all of the cyberbullying going around their group. Y&B should be a safe place for all enthusiasts, not a place for any sorts of drama or bullying. Make sure to spread this around!

1 in 6 parents know their child has been bullied over social media. In over half of these cases, their child was a repeat victim. Over half of parents whose children have social media accounts are concerned about cyberbullying and more than three-quarters of parents have discussed the issue of online bullying with their children.

English version at the bottom of the Italian text

Aiutaci a combattere l’emergenza educativa nel nostro Paese!

In Italia 1 bambino su 3 è a rischio povertà.

Help us fight the educational emergency in our Country!

In Italy 1 child out of 3 is at risk of poverty.

In Italy 1 adolescent out of 5 doesn’t get a diploma.

In Italy 1 young person out of 4 is a NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).

For this reason, we are working to realize the first Scuo@MICA Center in Italy during the 2016. A high-density educational place dedicated to disadvantaged communities.

Within the Centre, children, adolescents, adults, families and teachers could benefit from study support / art and theater workshops / computer labs / access to new technologies / parenting education / counseling / medical and legal advice / anti-bullying, cyberbullying and cybermobbing programs with support opportunities for the victims / Italian courses for foreigners / English courses / pediatric E.R. / bookcrossing spaces / food education courses and civic education classes.

The objective of each activity is to build a better culture for the new generation and we are convinced that our initiative can make an effective contribution to reduce the school dropout phenomenon.

Please help us give a valuable service to the whole community, aiming to fight poverty and social exclusion. Activities will be free for children, adolescents and adults whose families belong in the most vulnerable section defined by ISTAT (the official Italian national institute of statistics) or, with a small contribution, for those belonging in a higher income bracket.

Thanks to your donation, we will be able to support and help with regularity all those who will access the center for free, because children in Italy should not be deprived of the opportunity to build a decent future for themselves.

ESPN reporter, Erin Andrews, was a victim of cyber-bullying through social media. Her attacker published videos of her naked body on several websites in 2009.

13% of teens who use social media (12-17) say they have had an experience on a social network that made them feel nervous about going to school the next day. This is more common among younger teens (20%) than older teens (11%).
