The heart shape body is made out of old quilt piece with fabric that looks like it was used to make shirts. Head was made out of a 1 inch furniture plug, button. Made by me.

A trip with friends up to Cutter Ranch near Clinton, BC to meet our young lambs before they are slaughtered in a couple months. We then stayed the weekend at Loon Lake for some relaxing, cooking, and of course eating!

The leaf-cutter ants would clear a 6" path on the forest floor, sometimes stretching for hundreds of yards from their burrow to the particular tree they chose to harvest from.
The leaves they collect are not eaten by the ants, but rather used as compost in their nest.

In 1900, there were 24 pubs in the Ely Waterside district. Now there is just one. In the census data of the second half of the 19th century I have found more than a hundred of my family living in the streets around this pub.
